People need to face facts, the mass market no longer lives for JRPGs. Japan is no longer the center of the video game industry. American developers are running circles around them and until they change it up it will continue. The way it's shaping up Final Fantasy 13 might be the first and last Final Fantasy this generation in the US or close to it. I know I'll get a lot of disagrees for this but it's the changing demographic of gamers, average teenagers and young men are not walking into Game...
Nobody is gonna spend $400 to play this game, that was the barrier for LBP with casuals and it didn't win the battle. I don't think hardcore gamers really cared about it and the media made it seem like they did. Plus it was a new IP released against heavy hitting established IPs. Oh yeah, why does Sony always launch big games at the very end of every month? It really kills the NPD numbers.

Did you even take the time to look at the Google cache for the page? It doesn't say anything about the VGAs. It says that he got word it would be playable at GDC 09 and would be revealed 6 weeks before GDC. Please look around before you put your foot in your mouth.

Same here, I want any online play to stay out of great single player games like Bioshock, Uncharted, God of War, etc. You start to head down that path and then other parts of the game start to suffer. I'd rather be the master of one than a jack of all trades.
It's going to be longer than 20 seconds, at that point it'd be shorter than the Uncharted 2 teaser they released last week and even shorter than the teaser they released for God of War 3 at E3. They wouldn't hype a 20 seconds as the first God of War 3 trailer. Think about it.

The Uncharted 2 news isnt anything to go on. It was unvieled on December 1st and he posted about it October 27, wow he got it by roughly a month. At that time Game Informer would of seen the game and just knowing people on the press side of things could of probably got you that news as it trickled down. Maybe if he had posted the news in September it would of been more legit. Plus it seems media sites have already seen more Uncharted 2 than we have, just listen to the newest IGN PS3 podcast. ...
I like how it went from details of the trailer to just general details of the game as a whole. Nice way to reposition yourself to look better in the end. In no way was there a description of the trailer to which you could be compared to after it aired.
I've played SOCOM since August since I was in the closed beta. L2 is talk and R2 is sprint. I have no issues with holding either in for an extended period of time.

Yeah they should focus on downloadable movies, why? Because that's one thing Microsoft hasn't advertised the hell out of on the Xbox, Netflix. I think I saw one commercial about Netflix being on the X360 when the NXE launched, even that was just a screen at the end of an ad saying Netflix is now available on the Xbox 360 in normal text, since then nothing but I've already seen this commerical three times in a 24 hour period.
