Pretty sure you could hire a schizophrenic hobo who's never even heard of Warcraft and he wouldn't do a worse job than Sam Raimi. The Spiderman movies are god awful.
We'll probably end up with Toby McGuire or Sheya LeBuff or some other equally terrible actor as one of the main characters.
i agree zeitgeist. i'm not sure why you have disagrees.
i'm looking forward to this as much as anyone, but i feel like we're getting TOO much uncharted before it releases. Using what little discipline i have, i've been able to avoid watching all the videos so far sept for the helicopter in the apartment one. I want to experience it for myself, i don't wanna know what's going to happen before i do it. I mean, if you know you're going to get it, why spoil it with too much in-ga...
Instead he should have said "the updates to our engine will make all games look like crap" then start handing out free money and engines to all the developers.
what else was he gonna say?
this game gets a great score, but because it's not over 9 you all attack credibility. what is wrong with this generation?!?
this site constantly has smaller name sites and BLOGS and every time the review or statement is that sony is great and all its exclusives are great, then you ppl have nothing to say about the size of the site. but as soon as an exclusive isn't perfect, you're up in arms.
don't you ppl realize you've all already dogged all the credible ones lik...
not saying this won't be a good game, cuz i'm sure it will...but this video was laaaaame.
P.S. it's sad that i have to preface my statement with an admission of quality just to avoid fanboy hate mail. and i'm sure i'll still get called a 360 fanboy.
dice rolling is for dial up and Japanese RPGs.
we don't need this crit, hit, miss, whatever anymore.
i want my combat to be in real time.
i'm sick of getting into raids and someone saying "i read on wowhead this is how you do this fight." F*CK THAT! I want to figure it out on the fly and have multiple ways of accomplishing the goal.
for the same reason that in the same day you'll see one article saying ps3 or 360 is failing and then see another that says it's the year of the ps3 or 360.
i already saw an article earlier about how onlive could mean the end of consoles as we know it.
N4G is just a junk site for bloggers to dump their trash in an attempt to get hits. There's very little actual news on here.
all this back and forth between twitter.
i don't' think there is as big of a rivalry as we are meant to believe. look at how all these new "news" articles involve twitter. the same way they used to involve blogs, then later myspace, now twitter.
seems to me all these ppl are probably getting paid to keep this up just to make twitter more mainstream.
personally, i think ppl who use twitter are desperate attention seekers that have no real frie...
You know, when the movie Psycho was release, nobody knew what to expect. and that's why it was so popular. it caught ppl off guard. there are lots of situations in entertainment where ppl have to keep quiet. and i think it's a good thing. one thing i can't stand now is that there is so much media coverage of gaming. so many websites trying to get exclusive interviews, and first reviews, etc...
there should be more secrecy in gaming. i don't like knowing plots and back stories bef...
is it really so hard for ps3 fanboys to admit that after 4 years of development and 50 million dollars, killzone is already being trumped? give it a rest. nobody cares about your fanboy opinions. killzone 2 wasn't an impressive game ever, but this engine is at least waking up some ppl.
but the truth is, you can never tell a ps3 exclusive owner that anything is better than its exclusives. despite the fact that no 2 games combined on their system have sold as well as 360 exclus...
resistance 2, halo 2, and gears of war 2 were NOT better than the originals. and call of duty 2-5 are all pretty much the same thing.
and the point of the article, i think, is to make us realize that we're missing out on potentially great new ideas and IPs because companies know the money is in making sequels.
sequels aren't necessarily a bad thing, but they are becoming too much of the focus.
"It gets off to a very slow start, begins to pick up speed and gain momentum, and if you're not careful, you could find yourself crushed in a matter of seconds"
sounds more like bangin a fat chic.
so many ps3 fanboys coming outta the woodwork to talk about how great killzone is and how much better ps3 is than 360 and how 360 can't top ps3 visuals. give me a break!
first of all, killzone is not a technical feat. problem is, this community is dominated by ps3 only owners. and they live there lives in a little gaming box where they are never exposed to anything but the sub par games that come to that one system. yes, metal gear was good, yes ratchet and clank was great and,...
and here we have another game that is a 360 exclusive and yet the forums are dominated by ps3 fanboys trying to rub this into the faces of xbox owners. grow up kids.
also "I might be a little harsher than normal because I can't help but compare, not just this game, but every game to Killzone 2's best-ever visuals"
so this article was clearly written by a ps3 fanboy, end of story.
I would have agreed with a 7/10. i mean halo wars is a barebon...
you people think xbox live costs money cuz it has added features nobody uses?
you think 8 person party chat is something nobody uses? i don't think i can even sign on to live without getting invited to one. or being able to video conference? that's a useless feature too i guess.
I do agree with this list partially though. it does seem pretty stupid that we are paying 50 a year and still getting tons of ads. but hey, name a sports game you buy that isn't riddled ...
but it's unlikely a FF game will do better on 360 than ps3. maybe after a generation of multiplat releases. but the first one? doubtful.
then again, it was huge news for 360 owners when they found out they were getting 13. who knows. it'll probably be pretty close in the US, but elsewhere...not likely.
EDIT: to address the ppl saying "multiple discs vs one bluray." i would agree that fewer discs are better if not for the fact that you have massive l...
shift looks pretty cool. i like the idea of adding in a small amount of arcade. it will probably feel a little like a polished GTA4.
and NFS Most Wanted was a fun game.
i know a lot of people who buy treadmills and home gyms and never use em.
wii fit is just another thing people buy so that when company comes over, they can claim they are trying to lose weight or pretend they care about health. i bet 90% of wii fits get used once
Same articles day after day on N4G, Why not?
