you two really need to read the article first...that's EXACTLY what he said.
the economy is holding developers back from pushing hardware so they stick with the fixed hardware of consoles. the economy also prevents the consumers from upgrading their hardware as often as they did in the late 90s.
doesn't make his comments any less true. technically, it's the existence of this current gen of consoles (which for PC, is last gen) that is holding back...
you clearly played the wrong game. there is absolutely nothing repetitive about HL2. it makes every other shooter look insanely repetitive by comparison.
every section of HL2 is entirely different. the enemies are diverse, the physics based puzzles are simple yet elegant, the pacing is perfect, the story is great, the first use of a gravity gun (which so many other games have copied since), etc.
i could go on and on but what's the point...
what does that even mean. neither of your comments make any sense.
absolutely nothing overrated about it.
thanks for the contribution, scar. couldn't have had this comments section without you.
and yes, Half Life 2 is still the King. it's not only the best shooter ever made, but it's one of the best games of all time.
point i was making is that you've got one of the greatest companies in gaming of all time, and some fanboys are saying an incredibly average company should be designing games for them. it's ridiculous.
i'm sorry, what? Uncharted has never been anything but a national treasure knock off... hate to break it to the fanboys.
I wouldn't want ND to taint anything created by Blizzard.
you're talking about a company who's game nobody played online after the first week vs a company who's games have a few million players every week for years and years.
Definitely Valve. but they already did it with Half Life 2.
If it's not an entirely new engine, i'm not interested.
what a slow news day this must be for this to be a top article.
who cares
i have no idea what your statement means. microsoft tries to have exclusives?
your comment makes no sense.
i agree with you about the ai, sorta. but i don't agree about their ability to see you. you musta been playin on normal or something. cuz on hard, they see you all the time, in fact, it can get annoying sometimes...this distances at which they see you.
i def think the game needs more paths, and there should be fewer scripted moments and places where you're just funneled through. the level design was bad 60% of the time.
i think conviction is a l...
what is wrong with you people? the only point of that comparison was graphics, frame-rate, and screen tearing. nobody is trying to be biased in this comparison on the site. just in the forums.
bottom line is GT5 looks better, but doesn't perform as well.
doesn't matter if forza has more game modes or gt5 has more cars. that is a separate issue when deciding what you prefer. the only purpose here was to compare visual quality. stop blowing this u...
the first Deus Ex was one of the best games ever made, and only one person above me even mentioned it. i never realized it til just now, but most of the ppl on n4g are complete noobs.
probably explains why 90% of the ppl on n4g think Killzone isn't a god awful franchise. it was awesome to see it wasn't even mentioned in the article...and for VERY good reason.
@moparful99 i'm looking forward to LBP2 very much, but i would hardly consider the 2.5D...
you don't punctuate in spanish either. so, you're una idiota y un pendejo. how's that workin out for ya?
is that apology part of your 12-step program?
have you ever heard of a period? i have no idea what you're trying to say. your immature little rant might have been more effective if you learned how to use some damn punctuation.
that double standard is like the retarded, ugly elephant in the room that nobody on n4g wants to acknowledge. we all know it's there, but how dare you mention it! you're disrupting our ignorant, blissful delusions!
you aren't the only one. there are tons of over-sensitive, immature gamers out there.
