it is not an issue of lighter and darker. the ps3 version is very clearly missing a layer of shadowing. i don't understand all the technical aspects, but it's plain as day. there are simply missing shadows and the contrast looks worse on the ps3 version.
It's hardly a big deal though. i'd be more interested to see how the game is in motion on both. if that's the same, i'd say it's gonna come down to what you like more...achievements or trophi...

this is the first COD i ever pre-ordered, and the first one i'm buying since COD2, cuz i think it looks like a worthy game...but a 9.5 for a game that hasn't taken a chance in 5 years and 6 games is definitely not honest reviewing. the guy even admitted he's a rabid COD fanboy.
i think you should look up the definition of opinion. you can't say things like "it is my opinion that the moon is bigger than the sun" when there is evidence that refutes the claim.

i agree with you, but it's clear they lied intentionally to sell more copies and didn't think they'd get caught. now they are caught, and they have to print retractions and take it back. it was a cheap tactic they thought they could get away with, pure n simple.

the playing field is even cuz everyone is playing on the same medium. however, most games have to scale back the intensity and speed for console to counter exactly what you're talking about.
as for rewarding...i think headshots are rewarding anywhere. the difference being that on PC, you don't any auto-aim assistance.

i actually think it looks kinda cool. and i definitely don't think it adds 50% to the bulk of the 360...maybe 20-25%.
regardless, i doubt the slim really needs it. make one for my fat ps3...that thing could start fires.
as for the smoke...what i do is just put a fan in the window blowing out...seems to do the trick
