last i checked, you had to pay for PS+ to get the occasional free game or early access to demos. but hey, it wouldn't be N4G without the excessive hypocrisy and ignorance.
EDIT: You also have to pay for a monthly data plan for iphone and droid. the only place where you really get stuff for free is PC, and even then it's rare.
no they aren't. there are tons of great shooters that mix up the formula beyond run and shoot. call of duty just doesn't. half-life 2 is a prime example. there's tons of problem and puzzle solving, variations in gameplay, vehicle sections, etc... and a lot of games do this - maybe not to the same level as half-life, but it's there.
i'm willing to bet it's more like 10-12.
it failed because it came out at the same time as RDR in a time of year that people don't buy a lot of games. there's really nothing more to it. the ad campaign for RDR combined with tne rockstar name couldn't be contended with.
while i certainly agree this is a weak article, i can't figure out what the hate is about. i mean, we have to endure week after week of hip hop gamer's garbage articles and people seem to have come to terms with that. i don't really see the problem.

all you can do is say "uncharted blah blah" and forget about all the truly great games that have NO story. Tetris for example. a game does NOT NOT NOT need a great story, a good story, or even any story at all to be great. contrarily, the best story in the world isn't going to save a game with bad mechanics.

you're playing a video game...of course gameplay is more important. and that's not even really what he's saying. he's saying a story's job is to make the gameplay more engaging; but if the gameplay is bad, what good is the story?
it is the responsibility of every parent in every generation to research their children's interests. don't be such a tool.
with that said, i think the dialogue in this game is really immature and sounds like it was written by middle school kids. i don't think it should be censored or banned or anything. i just think it's childish and not at all funny or clever.
