nathan hale isn't a likable or relatable character. in fact, i forgot that was even his name til i read your comment. they could easily swap him out for another protagonist and you wouldn't miss a step. hell, i think resistance would have been better off having a different main character in each game, telling the story from a different perspective.
drake, on the other hand, basically is uncharted.

First of all...the first COD came out in 2003...and COD has been imitating COD for almost a decade now.
second, the first Battlefield came out in 2002.
third, the first Medal of Honor came out in 1999 and THAT is what most shooters in this style are "imitating."
last...Battlefield is simply doing it better...and using new tech...and doing things we haven't seen before.

Halo Reach Multiplayer is tons of fun.
we won't see new consoles til the developers settle on a new format. the thing about DVD was that it was a huge medium. when blu-ray hit, it just wasn't the same kind of hit. sure they look better and hold more, but ppl already had their dvd collections.
the obvious choice would be digital distribution, but the problem is that there's no way to predict where the tech is going. it would be foolish for MS or Sony to jump on the digital distribution bandwagon if ...
