It's listed as 2.99. Am I doing something wrong?
You know, one of the coolest things about all this is that they can just follow this same blueprint for the next console or two that they make.
I mean think about it. 5 years from now they announce a Switch 2 that can play The Witcher 3, Red Dead 2 and the next Pokemon game. That system will sell just as well as this one.
"...is composed mostly of hardcore gamers."
Fixed.
The way he puts it makes it seem like the Xbox has MORE hardcore players than PS4. The truth is that hardcore gamers make up the bulk purchasers of niche consoles.
It's true that this is the 3rd straight weekend sale we've had but I don't think they are calling this a Flash sale. They did the last two though, which was weird enough on it's own.
It seems like a good idea to me but they definitely don't want to force people into it. Packing it in with every PS5 would be a mistake. We all saw what happened when MS sold every XBox One with a Kinect.
Gravity Rush 2. They just shuttered the servers so it makes perfect sense!
While that would be cool, Ive been saying for a bit now that MS has the most to gain by buying them. They get a legit Japanese game studio, a ton of beloved IPs and the good will from springing those IPs from an (apparently) evil empire.
Further, MS has been on a very public studio purchasing spree so it's not crazy to think they might try.
Lastly, they would have the ammo to offer Kojima the chance to make another MG (after he's done Death Strand...
I'm kind of nervous about this. I popped in Shenmue 2 about a year and a half ago and right away noticed that the controls were much worse than I had remembered. Sega doesn't need to remake this thing from the ground up but it really will be in everyone's best interest if they clean up some of the most outdated parts of the game's interface. My fear is that we are getting the exact same games I played on Dreamcast. I really think good ports that people speak well of vs bad por...
The attach rate for Vita software has always been really high. There have even been stories of certain Vita games, like visual novels, outselling their PS4 counterparts.
I have to imagine that the Switch will be the biggest thing that hurts sales going forward. I personally have found myself torn between Switch and Vita versions of games but ultimately siding with the Switch versions in most cases. The screen is just bigger and nicer and the fact that I can play it on the ...
Same. I just made a list on my phone of every game I have that I haven't finished/just scratched the surface of/want to play but haven't even started yet. When I get the urge to spend on some game I won't even play I'll look at that list and it should bring me back to reality.
One of the best parts of the soulsborne games is the exploration of an otherworldly place. As fun as the sequals to DS were, by the 3rd game, the visual template started to get a little old. I'd love a Bloodborne 2 but part of me knows that game will never suprise me like the 1st game did. So I welcome a new IP.
The best game on the Vita is a PS2 port; Persona 4 Golden.
The author of the book The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe said in the forward to it that he wrote it for children and people who were old enough to enjoy childish things. He recognized that we have a tendency, at a certain age, to lose our ability to love things like fairy tales when we think maturity is something more valuable. Once we are comfortable in who we are we can again appreciate childish things. We can also then realize how immature the things we thought made us so adult really we...
Ehhhh, the PS4 is on track to sell a 100 million systems but the time the gen is over. The Switch MIGHT do a little better but it's hard to say Nintendo will have won exactly.
I also didn't enjoy 4. My top 2 are just the 1st game and Code Veronica.
Sega is not the company it was 20 years. Game systems thrive on 1st party content and Sega doesn't have the internal studios or individual tSlent necessary to pull it off.
I really don't have any interest in an Xbox One but if I DID get one it would be for Killer Instinct, Cuphead, Ori and the Blind Forrest, and Sunset Overdrive.
I didn't see much of a difference between the last gen and this one so I assumed I wouldn't see one in the next.
Honestly, as far as another console revision goes, the only one I'm excited for is the Switch 2. Sometimes I find myself day dreaming about playing The Witcher 3 on the go. Assuming all that happens that is.
I've been checking in on every PSN sale every week (and once a month for Flash deals) for years and can confirm this is not a "massive...sale."
For what it's worth, it's also on sale on the eshop for the same price.
