I loved how weird it was to see the Tekken fighters standing in for Walking Dead characters.
That said, the actual game play footage looked kind of boring.

It's true that the Xbox has no exclusives in the technical sense. But really, for many people, console gaming is the only one they entertain as a possibility. So in effect, console exclusivity is virtually the same thing as technical exclusivity.
And I don't mind this. I always assume that something being available on PC is a separate question from exclusivity. It may not be technically true but for someone who plays mostly/only on consoles, it might as well be.

Game of the year will be given to Red Dead 2 from a bunch of outlets I'm sure. But if your trying to say there may be SOME that give it, instead, to one of the five games you mentioned, you're probably right. At least when it comes to God of War and Spiderman. The others really have no shot. Detroit in particular gets a lot of hate.

They still get made, often sell well, and even tend to review well too.
Spiderman, God of War, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and now RDR2 all show that the genra isn't slowig in the least. Even Nintendo has gotten into the game and made Mario and Zelda open world games (partially in Mario's case and fully in Zelda's).

I'd be surprised if the system wasn't just called "Xbox." I believe they want to us to consider this a permanent "platform" like the iPhone.
Further, I think there is a very good chance they announce full backwards compatability with every Xbox, 360, and One game, out of the box.
I can't wait to see the reveal of the MID-mid gen refresh; the Xbox One XS.

The thing about Kojima's games is that they DO deliver for a certain kind of person. No Man's Sky was one game that didn't deliver. Nobody will give Hello Games the benefit of the doubt on whatever their next project ends up being. But People have been excited for each Metal Gear because, again, for a certain kind of player at least, they are everything they hoped they'd be. I've been saying they should do this for a bit now. MS needs credit with gamers and buying Konami, rescuing thier IPs from limbo, could certainly do that.
I wonder if they could get Kojima to make another Metal Gear after he's done with Death Stranding. The pitch could be something like, "now you get to make a Metal Gear without any restraints."

I LOVED the first game and liked the 2nd. I passed on the PS4 port but, like everything else, would probably reconsider a portable version.
