It really is, the fact that it's coming to PC as well will really accelerate its popularity.
But it still works and the destruction is quite detailed. It just didn't really add to the fun but it was there.
I mean it worked with Crackdown 3, it's just the gameplay wasn't good enough to warrant any attention.

A cinematic well paced campaign that's 12-15 hours is like God of war is worth the $80 if it's a quality experience. A 3 hour game be just as stupid a 100 hour game where you're doing the same repetitive boring grind over and over. On the other hand a 100 hour game that has quality like the Witcher 3 is more than worth the $80....

That's a contradictory statement considering Gears has been used to spawn generic AAA TPS games since 2006. It's responsible for revolutionizing third person shooter gameplay that's in pretty much every TPS since. It's horde mode has been replicated in tons of games. When it comes to hardcore multiplayer there is nothing in the TPS space that is better. The story isn't the most mature, but if you're calling the gameplay generic that is borderline insulting.

Uhh they're launching Halo Infinite on Gamepass. Gears 5 sold more than Gears 4 already so I don't see how they're in a dumpster. Made by Ramin Djawadi who did the Game of thrones music, this soundtrack is pretty amazing. I kind of got a GOT vibe with some of the melodies.

In what way? The hardcore modes have been pretty much unchanged since 2006, with tuning adjustments and new weapons.
