I think they really showed footage of the unfinished game. There seems to be some serious textures and details missing. It should look either all bad or all great, instead some parts look bland and some parts look gorgeous.
Can't wait till the next God of war. I feel like they started small in terms of scale and it worked perfectly. With the next game I imagine we will see larger scale battles.
Sooo hyped for this!!
"Halo: infinite will essentially be a current gen looking game, but can be played at higher res and fps on the series X. Disappointing to say the least."
Firstly, that's going to be every "next gen" game for the next couple of years. Do you not remember the launch games for the past couple of generations? All were just graphical upgrades and many had prior gen ports. What have you seen so far with the next gen reveals that isn't possible in curre...
The same multiplayer only clone shooters? I hope so. But shooters as a genre? No.
All hail!
Made me pick up Halo 3 on Xbox MCC again
Even Halo One is totally playable and hella fun almost 2 decades later. Goes to show why MS doesn't and shouldn't kill off the franchise. As long as they keep making Halo I'll keep buying an Xbox. I always buy 2 consoles every gen and have no reason to forego Series X next gen.
Love serious Sam! Console version please!
That's sick! The game already looks gorgeous, i'll definitely be replaying the campaign.
Also interesting to read that games will be cross gen for only a couple of years. They're pretty much confirming that once developers start to utilize more and more power of the console we will see games that are completely next gen FROM XBOX STUDIOS.
"That’s why Xbox Game Studios titles we release in the next couple of years—like Halo Infinite—will be available and play great on Xbox Series X and Xbox One."
They clearly mention next couple of years, which means we will definitely see games that are not held back next gen.
Secondly, the first couple of years of every gen has had games with last gen ports. There isn't enough of a leap in the that time that a game is completely held back. ...
No one should be confused, but in another thread people were complaining that you can't call it "free" if it's part of a paid subscription. Just clarifying that the official wording does not say what the headline says.
For the record, their announcement said "at no extra charge" not "free", which is the correct way of wording it. Before someone goes off on that.
Looks good until the dragon pic...
I don't understand why they mix the cell shaded look, which is fine, with random a unfinished CGI look. I've noticed it with many of these productions.
It is indeed! Halfway through the game you realize that the Mongolian army has discovered a time portal are sending cyberpunk babes in cars to take you down.
Hey that's true, which is why they've bought like 6 new studios.
Also Xbox is the only console whose top IPs are multiplayer centric. You don't kill off multiplayer games that have existing fans logging in every day. It's easier to so with single player games. Additional IPs should be new games from new studios, which hopefully they'll reveal.
time to hop back on this!
I love the creativity there
I don't agree with your logic because that game can look way better than it does and it has nothing to do with it being on Xbox one. What you were right about was it being disappointing.
