No I don't think you understand my point. Yes I agree the author did go to far in saying "God of milk", but he does have a point.
This is not about double standards, there can be as many halos as the company wants to release, and there can be as many God of wars as the company wants to release. You can't call it milking if each new halo game is an actual new game. Halo 4 came out in 2012, and Halo MCC came out in 2014. They could release a halo every year as...
Man this game looks amazing. I wish there was a more realistic and epic way of taking down those huge beasts though, instead of just hacking at their feet. Shadow of Colossus would be a great example.
First of all it's ODST.
Second of all, all halos have been different and new so they're different games, not remakes. The only remakes have been Halo anniversary collection, which was an ACTUAL remaster with a completely re-skin of the original. This means graphically redoing every single asset of the game for the new gen, not just up-scaling the resolution. PLUS it had Reach multiplayer with new maps, all for $40.
And let's not even get started ...
It's a great game that could have been even greater! I had an amazing time playing when I did, but it's the type of game where you put in a lott of hours very fast and then you put it down for a long time.
I don't know why but hearing even the tiniest news about halo makes my morning!
They wont show footage when E3 is just a couple of months away. But I do agree with campaign footage, I've noticed all the past halos have had some footage shown around this time, in the form of vidocs or at least magazine reveals.
This is like the serial podcast lol, so awesome!!!
yep definitely has the potential to be one of best games of this gen.
@just_looken
MCC has been fixed for a while now, works great for many people. Dont know what kind of internet you have.
@mikeslemonade
umm..........so everyone plays halo because it's not fun to play?
You mention "same old boring formula" and then you have the nerve to say Cod is fun to play lol?.......I need to sit down and take this in
ok everyone relax. I did not put "HAVE TO" in caps.
If you guys paid any attention to the actual point instead of syntax and scrutinizing words, I just said that I find Remastered COLLECTIONS to be more valuable than single release games.
Also I didn't blame anyone for buying them, I simply said it's because of the lack of backwards compatibility that we don't have a choice. If we want to play older games and have only the new consoles, ...
I highly doubt that. Metal Gear Solid may be an amazing game, but its not known for multiplayer. It may still be amazing but to compete with Halo in multiplayer it has to be on another level.
Battlefront isn't announced yet, and hasn't existed in almost a decade. The original battlefront games were awesome but not at level level in terms of competitiveness. This new one we have no idea about, it may also be amazing but to put a dent in halo it has to be something craz...
Thank you Microsoft and 343*
That's what Opie was trying to say...
I find it extremely stupid to have to buy remastered games that just came out 2-3 years ago, and single games on top of that, for $40 on average. It's ridiculous, although I do understand it's because of the lack of backwards compatibility.
Remasters that I find to be valuable are collections, like the Halo: MCC. But if people are wanting to buy remastered games then that's their choice and the trend will continue. As long as it doesn't affect progress on full...
I have a good feeling a perfect dark reboot will come next year, then gears 4 in 2017
Bought a PS3 just to play this game. That's the best thing about single player games, you can always catch up with them later on.
lol this sounds like a high school girl fight, where they black out each other's faces on facebook photos.
"Dragons have no balls...how do they peeeeee"
I'm pretty sure after the events of Halo 4, ONI is going to label Masterchief as a traitor.
From what I can tell, it looks like he's out on his own and ONI needs him for something, so they have agent Locke on the hunt. I think Locke is assigned to bring the Chief back but he might have doubts about ONI once he meets Chief.
This is a really interesting story premise. I love the internal politics of humans while the war with the covenant and prometheans...
Loll wtf is that power ranger villain looking crap
No that is not the issue. The issue is the pricing standard is getting more and more ridiculous. They can release remastered games, of course it's great, but we have to let them know what $40 value means to us.
This is the same reason DLC has gone ridiculous. It used to $5-$10, came out 6 months to a year after release, and devs usually worked on it after release. On top of that, I remember a lot of DLC would go free after a year, maybe a bit more.
Now it...
