Personally I feel it's the best multiplayer game this gen. Just need more maps that's all.
Presentation wise I'd have to hand it to Battlefront though, I've been playing the EA Access trial and I'm in awe at how freakin amazing it looks.
You obviously didn't read the article. When those arguments for "Movie-like" games are made, people are usually talking about how linear the games are. You get very little freedom of gameplay, you have linear paths to move down, lack of choice etc etc.
In this case the author is talking about everything BUT gameplay. How the graphics look, how the special effects look, how her body and environment reacts to different phenomena, the story, the cutscenes, etc.
Well your argument is counter productive. Instead of arguing that Call of duty ALSO shouldn't be $60, you're accepting that it's OK for Battlefront to be $60? What kind of logic is that??

It's at an 8.9 average lol, Fallout 4 is at an 8.8. I can't how well Tomb raider is holding up against one of the biggest releases this gen.

Honestly Tomb raider is more like Last of Us than Uncharted. And far as inspiration goes, I don't think Naughty dog isn't short of it.
Well assuming you played Gears Ultimate you won't need to play Gears 1 because it's a remake. I'd recommend Gears 2, it was just freakin amazing, it starts off epic and stays epic.
My favourite moment has to be that GINORMOUS worm that swallows you in Gears 2, and you have to chainsaw it's hearts from the inside. So ridiculous.

I hope they make DLC free for old games, I mean 7-8 year old games still have DLC costing more than the full game. This would be a great incentive to bring out those older games.

Although I'm glad it's edited for bias and I'd much rather prefer a review from an actual fan instead of reviewers who have no idea how to play the game or have any interest in the first place. For that reason I will read this.
I agree, presentation will only last so long. Battlefront doesn't play that great though. I don't really see it having a competitive appeal.
My biggest issue right now is the laser weapons. Although they have to be lasers because its Star wars, I just don't like shooting with them. They have no recoil and it feels fake, I love the satisfaction of real bullets shooting from the gun and this game doesn't have it.
