Honestly I'd add in another $10 and just get EA access for a year. I'm sure you know it has both these games plus a ton of others, plus 10 hour trials on new EA games.

I don't think the hate is unreal, actually I don't think the hate is on the game even, it's on the content. The game itself is great.
But you have to understand this deal was made wayy in advance. The obviously got a lot of money from MS for doing this, which went into making the game better.

500 is a joke, I don't know how I managed to survive with 500gb (actually 360gb) for a whole year. Had to keep deleting and re-installing games it was so annoying.

Pretty sure Halo 5 is the best selling exclusive this gen among the two consoles. It's not a record compared to past halos but it's a record nonetheless.

Those first couple of years with Gears of war, Halo 3, Mass effect, Bioshock, and COD4. Best years of my gaming life.
I don't think ANYONE judged the content off the beta. Don't know where you got that from.
Maybe you should actually try to single player modes before deciding. I played 10 hours through EA access and the single player modes are literally tiny maps with the same enemies spawning in different directions, it's a joke.
GOTY would have to be between MGSV, Bloodborne, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4.
Multiplayer: Halo 5 is the best multiplayer this gen. But there are quite a few small games like Rocket league that are quite good, and awards usually tend to go to new IP's.
Action/adventure: Rise of the tomb raider
