I mean I'd want an easier mode (or a mode with instant saving) for the sake of the experience, but if you say that the fans get an aneurysm unfortunately. As long as it doesn't affect the main traditional mode it shouldn't matter.

I don't understand why this article is implying free pass anyway. It definitely has to get both SP and MP right, but the model they chose will make it complicated regardless. The multiplayer is free to play, which means they're not going to drop everything at launch and that could negatively impact the launch reviews. I don't think that's necessarily that conclusion from it. Gamepass isn't a monopoly, competition will ensure that big budget games are always there. If you mean first party games specifically it's a long way before we could get to that point because there are plenty of AAA games in development for the next 5 years. What people don't talk about enough is the ridiculous value they're providing for the consumer. The $1 gold to Game pass ultimate upgrade is the greatest deal in video gaming history no question. The amount of money I have saved on games I would have bought for $60 but just got to play them on gamepass is crazy, but next year I will have saved enough money to cover the cost of my Series X itself. In addition to that I got to play dozens of games I never would have tried otherwise.

This is the right answer. I would absolutely love to play Battle Royale in Halo simply because Halo is so diverse and every game mode with Halo gameplay just feels great. However I would not want them to chase after the success of battle royale games and take away resources from new and creative things. They could give us enough tools to create it in custom games/forge and add it to a playlist, it's already doable in Halo 5.
