“dam, so now people are judging games before they come out off of betas, always on xbox.“
This game has been delayed and “close to completion” for a year and a half already. The beta is pretty much representive of what gameplay is going to be like. How can people not be critical of it?
You clearly don’t know how businesses work. Xbox is a small portion of MS as a whole and does not have “access” to unlimited resources to purchase billions of dollars worth of game studios.
Even MS execs have stated this before. Yet some of you all live in a fantasy world where Xbox leads MS in profitability.
No one was having meltdowns with Xbox having 3 discs to play FF13 😂
Yeah purchasing EA is real top quality stuff! Lmao 😂
I seem to have hit a nerve.
We all had a kid like that in at least one class in elementary school. You know, the one who had to buy most of the project because they weren’t creative enough to build something quality.
"If Microsoft essentially creates the netflix of video games, it will forever change the industry."
Why do people keep saying this when services like this have long existed? Gamefly and PSNow are two examples of services that are far more developed and more closely resemble aspects of Netflix. On top of that, Netflix's whole service is based on streaming. So...where does Xbox Game Pass relate to that?
This is exactly how they’ve fooled people since 2014. Saying “we’re investing into single player games and more exclusives”...yet there’s nothing to show to back up those claims.
I don’t understand how this is even a topic that is still brought up as an end all solution. It’s been clarified many times that current tech is not developed enough to use it the way many assume it’s being used. Heck many still hear “cloud on Xbox” and think this...

“Even sony fans on this site continuously share their disdain for multiplayer focused games.”
Pretty sure the disdain is that most Sony fans don’t want their console to rely on only multiplayer games. No one has ever said they don’t want any. They just don’t want only multiplayer games. Not that hard of a concept to understand.
Lol there’s no reason to pit them against each other. Yet even when a no-name site does, the fanbase speak it’s mind and divide themselves.
On a more serious note, PUBG itself might be a legitimate reason why people don’t latch on to SoT. Especially if PUBG launches a new map and stabilize the gameplay by SoT’s launch.
Uh oh, the fanbase is gonna canabalize itself with that assumption lol
Seems as though some who’ve commented above believe Sea of Thieves shouldn’t and won’t be as successful. The game is one of the first exclusives to launch this year for Xbox and ya own fanbase is already suppressing it. Sad.
All I know is that between the two, SoT doesn’t look like you’re playing on a potato.
Some people on this site seem to not have had enough crow from HZD lol

Some want a second serving I’m guessing?
Not a good investment at all if you’re only getting it for PUBG brig included. Especially when the game looks and feels like you’re playing it on a potato.
Got it a week ago and I’ve crashed each time I’ve played it. Needs a lot more fixing before it’s even at a decently playable state with decent fps.
“Making the declaration like its fact- is just downright idiotic.”
Isn’t that what most of your comments and your site is based on? Not sure how you can say this and write articles doing just that.
It was hard to understand your comment. Not sure what you’re replying to other than repeating what I said?
The devs can really get screwed over with this. And the last part of my comment still holds true if you’re going to get it regardless.
It’s hilarious to see you all get so defensive just based on my observations and talking points lol 😂
Sony has been doing the same thing for ages with Playstation and it got flak from Xbox fanboys. Now it’s ok to have a similar service? 🤔
However, I think MS is pushing for it more with their lack of success in the console market.
Why would Sony do that when their console is actually profitable and they have a fanbase that actually supports its games?
Sounds like game pass is a solid path to set MS in gaming for a long time. We could possibly see most, if not all, MS games on other platforms by making this into a service.
Hmm, wonder if next gen will be vastly different for MS hardware wise🤔
I get content, but are other gameplay mechanics purposely being left out of the beta?
