It's a bit late, really. Had the level cap been increased for the current or one of the previous DLC's I would have had more of an incentive to reach it. Raising it with the final DLC... I don't know if I'll be too eager to slave away for hours trying to reach the cap at that point.
I haven't read the article, but I'm already able to find fault with the title. "A lot sunnier than Dark Souls?" WELL, the game isn't called Bright Souls. It's DARK Souls, why would anyone expect or even for an instant WANT it to have a warm and sunny atmosphere to it?
There is really no logic behind this.
It would be like... if there were a shark attack, you wouldn't ask Discovery Channel to cancel Shark Week out of respect for the victim.
I'm not saying this incident wasn't a tragedy, because it definitely was, but this really shouldn't even be talked about on such a widespread scale anymore. It's just helping to garner attention for the criminal. Unfortunately, the media thrives on tragedy and so we won't be finis...
Forgive me for being blunt, but it is my firm belief that co-op does not belong in survival horror.
Unfortunately, from what I've seen of Dead Space 3 so far it is more of an action game than a survival horror. That first game was so great, to me it was perfect, the game I had been waiting for since Resident Evil became more action and less horror. Dead Space 2... it was good, but nowhere near as immersive as its predecessor and I really do believe I can justify blaming this on t...
Captain Scarlett's DLC was so anticlimactic. The titular character just runs away without a final confrontation and there is little sense of reward for completing the missions.
At the rate they are pumping out DLC for this game it wouldn't surprise me if they released more then the 4 add-ons the pass covers. I'd probably pay for new characters to play as, but I'd be reluctant to put $30 into DLC for this game again before really knowing what the DLC will be like.
I loved Borderlands 1 and all of its DLC so I bought the season pass when I bought the second game thinking I would be very satisfied with the upcoming DLC. If a second season pass is r...
"This is their third DLC already in a span of 3 months. Which is pretty great, constantly pumping the game with more and more content will keep the fans coming for more."
I strongly disagree. I would much prefer the team developing these DLCs (which isn't even the team that worked on the main-game) work on 1 DLC for a reasonable amount of time rather than have them churn out what have in my opinion been mediocre experiences (Captain Scarlett and Torgue DLC) at b...
This title is ridiculous. Something "Unforgettable" cannot be forgotten. It's like writing an article and titling it "5 immortals that have perished." If they were immortal in the first place, they would not be dead. If these characters are unforgettable, they simply CANNOT be forgotten. Ever.
Why am I so picky?
They were limited, just for a very limited time.
I don't think they should have made leveling up past a certain point exclusive for anyone.
The ending was not what the developers originally planned because an ending was never set in stone. Drew Karpyshyn was the lead writer for Mass Effect 1 and he left Bioware halfway through the development of Mass Effect 2. It shows. Had he stayed and continued to work on the franchise I believe 3 would have had a much different ending, a preferable one to the nightmare of a conclusion Casey Hudson and Mac Walters threw together on their own and then did not allow the rest of the writing team ...
Leveling up is quite speedy in this game. I've only hit the XP cap once and it was without double XP, but I did get the monthly challenge that day. I'm not positive but I believe the XP cap per day is 150,000.
A lot of people just blow through ranks by using double XP and then playing spartan ops matchmaking. Supposedly this yields 9,000-10,000 XP per completed chapter. Add the Pioneer specialization's bonus to this and it must yield slightly higher XP. Some of the people...
It saddens me to think that Nintendo fans will pick this game up and enjoy it, yet they still will not know and be able to experience the excellence that is Mass Effect 1.
Although, this could benefit them. Maybe without playing 1 and 2 first they will love everything 3 has to offer and not wind up like myself, still bitter about the deplorable ending (and the fact that Bioware completely trivialized the Reapers) 8 months after the game's release date.
As I've stated before,
My advice to Bioware:
1. Cease all work on a future Mass Effect game
2. Pour all resources and energy into building a time machine
3. Travel back to the halfway point of ME2's development
4. Somehow convince Drew Karpyshyn to stay on the Mass Effect 2 team, also, make choices from the first game have more of an impact in the second
5. Manage to keep Karpyshyn on board through Mass Effect 3, also, ...
Haha, of course not, my comment was a joke.
Why are they even asking us for input? Doesn't this compromise their artistic integrity?
It was the first idea for an example that came to mind. The fact that the article had the work "killed" in the title may have helped this.
"Sony and Microsoft could have killed the Wii before it would save Nintendo"
Anyone else have a really rough time trying to make sense of that title? It's like a mixture of time tenses or something... "could have killed" to me implies past and "would save Nintendo" seems like an event that could take place in the future but the author is implying that Nintendo was already saved by the Wii. Maybe it's proper and I've just not seen much of this...
And nerfing every weapon into oblivion makes a game more tedious than fun to play.
The game is very fun and in the end that is what counts for me, but I don't like the story much at all. I had a blast playing through the campaign, but the story was underwhelming. And to anyone saying that it's a person's own fault for not having a full grasp on the story because they haven't read comics and novels, that's just ridiculous. A full game (and any installment of media) should contain all the information that is needed to fully understand its plot and the even...
The first game was definitely my favorite, although Dead Space 2 is still quite good, and it was a very positive experience playing through it for the first time. The other 2 playthroughs were not as engaging, I was just trying to get the last few achievements and I knew where every scare was, which corners the enemies were behind, etc.
I've been worried that the third would be far too little horror and far too much military shooter-esque action, but after playing the singleplaye...
