Just read the whole hacking thing was a hoax and Xbox Live had not been hacked but just having technical difficulties such as a server outage. I work in the tech field and find this to be possible. It kind of puts a kink in those for the people in this thread going on about you get what you pay for and thinking PSN is just as secure....
Ethernet capable HDMI cables cost around ten buck on Amazon. Small price to pay for one less cord if you do not like to use the wireless connection.
Would HDMI "IN" also allow Ethernet Support? I know my Panasonic Plasma supports Ethernet through HDMI but I am unsure in regards to what makes a device capable of Ethernet through HDMI..

I only recall one or two negative articles toward Sony in that respect. I also do not remember people claiming they wouldn't buy it. The negative press Microsoft is getting for the same rumor is far worse. The amount of negative press they are receiving would affect stock prices and lucky for them it has not.
Although I think it is a bad decision on Microsoft's part, I cannot recall the last time I used any kind of computing device that wasn't always on anyway. Who's to say there will not be an option for those who do not have internet access? Surely this has been thought of. It may be suicide for the next Xbox if no options are available for non connected users. We will just have to wait until the unveil to find out all the information.
I kind of remember a similar article to this the other day and yes it did go the other way. People bashed them but on this thread they say Sony cares about all gamers. Hmmm. I will own all next gen consoles so I do not care who their "focus" is on. They will all be great.
To think of the logic people use on here is scary. Can somebody clear this up for me because I am confused. If GameStop and Ubi Soft say good things about the next Xbox they "must have been paid to say that". So with that logic does it also mean anyone who gives Positive PS4 information must also have been paid to do so?? Guess both companies paid me off because I will be purchasing both the PS4 and the next Xbox. Both will be the greatest in my eyes. :-)

I suggest you give Windows 8 a try for more than a few minutes. Once you get past the differences you will realize it is the best OS Microsoft has ever made. If you do not like the Metro you can work exclusively from the desktop after clicking the desktop tile. I have been wondering for a long time why such a popular title never received a third game or updated versions. Glad this finally happened and it looks great. Hopefully it will sell well enough for them so they will re-master DuckTales 2 and perhaps created a third totally new Ducktales game. I am excited to play this one either way!!!

I remember reading an article that stated Microsoft bought the company for their patents not for their tech. Microsoft was already pretty far along with Kinect development when they purchased the company you are talking about.
I don't think anyone believes Xbox Live couldn't be hacked and there is no such thing as a 100% secure network. There has been no evidence past and present of any successful hacking of Xbox Live. With that beings said Microsoft uses quite a bit more resources securing Xbox Live than Sony does for PSN and I find it hard to believe PSN's servers are as secure as Xbox Live's.
