I think people are overreacting. I doubt CoD:E will negatively affect most players as much as they think it will.
From what I understand, the only people who will feel like they ABSOLUTELY need to have full CoD:E are raging, gloating, insufferable people aka "ZOMG MUST HIT MAX PRESTIGE OR SUICIDE, LOOK AT MY STATS"
aka
the kind of people I would pay to AVOID, ironically.
Let the e-peeners get juiced for all their worth.
Don't hate the player hate the game.
They are an "end-game" company so to speak. Milk it dry and find a new cow to drain.
From a business standpoint, its very effective and its hard to blame them for making enough money to buy and election, but...
from a gamer standpoint its discouraging. We need more David Jaffe's, Naughty Dogs, and Cliffy B's (yes even him), so that one day unless your company is run by gamers themselves, it will fail.
Its like if dota actually tried to be its own game instead of just a Warcraft III
They cut out a lot of the arbitrary leftovers from the RTS standpoint. Your character doesn't run off on its own, you can't kill your own units, and the art style is specifically designed for people to be able to tell what the hell is going on (think silhouettes from TF2)
Typical jaded reviewer complaint "I tried to finish the story but got sidetracked having 'fun', whatever that is" lol
half-kidding aside, its looking pretty good. It will be cool to play the first and second back to back as a fresh experience (assuming I get hooked on the free dl of the first one), thats something that doesn't happen all that often in gaming for me. Or if it does, the original is just so outdated that I can hardly be bothered, that doesn...
true enough, but the reality is that they have to tone down their "risky" ideas and go with an innovative take on what sells instead, so they don't drown both, themselves in debt, and their chances of ever making a game again.
I think the only real determining factor with lots of gamers, both sexes, is what age they tried it out.
all the gamers I know, especially lady ones, started young. Thats changing now, though, it seems.
I could think of many reasons, none of which they would be willing to openly admit to until its released.
DAAAYYYYUUUUM
Well, Hwang was one of my favorites, but wasn't there a girl using the same fighting style? I think I ended up playing her because she had more high-low combos
Looks amazing...
Just please, for the love of god, NO SKELETONS
We've seen quite enough of those already!
Nah I still like making people rage quit, but not the people who are actually just trying to learn and don't know why they are getting killed. I like making the "LOL ANY REAL CHALLENGERS LOL ANY REAL CHALLENGERS LOL ANY REAL CHALLENGERS" people rage quit
I feel bad sometimes if I beat someone to the point where I know they either rage or let out a sigh of "fml"
I don't do fatalities on those people lol, that would just be cruel.
NETCODE PATCH IS UNDERGOING THE MICROSOFT/SONY QA TESTS FOR DOWNLOAD

IT WILL BE OUT WAY BEFORE SKARLETT (next week)
...you have demonstrated supreme knowledge of what a "maiden name" is.

"I would beat this fuckers up to a bloody pulp.
Sorry for the internet tough guy attitude. "
lol props for being self-aware
no shit.
Why can't they go hack an oppressive third world dictator, or hack Rush Limbaugh's show to repeat on air "I LOVE BIG BLACK ____ I LOVE BIG BLACK ____"
then they would earn my respect.
New Raids? Nope?
New Pvp arenas? Nope?
Then WHO CARES
Its going to be another year before this game starts to amass anything really worthwhile again. What a pity.
The problem with your logic is that you assume that the game doesn't already have a reason to be replayed. EG: Finding Packages in Vice City to get weapons and vehicles stockpiled at your house. GTAIV, you got a trophy/achievement for finding the pidgeons?
That's a step backwards for gaming in any game that relies on trophies as a reward in and of itself.
Its the games job to reward to the player for going back and playing again, and not just simply ...
"Game director Stu Tilley promises the biggest Wipeout experience to date; with 10 new tracks, 20 new ships, new game modes and weapons. "

They better release that as DLC for the PS3 version. This is great for NGP people, but this is kind of a slap in the face.
