Only alpha-male-wannabes use the phrase "Beta males". :)
The Infamous 2 bundle included an over-the-shoulder courier bag that's actually useful.
Wreck-It Ralph.
To quote from the article: "My gripe isn't so much that this stuff is potentially offensive, it's just that it's kinda lazy and bad."
How do I find stuff available with Playstation Plus? That doesn't seem to have a separate category anymore.
I already *have* an Ouya.
In effect, anyway. My Transformer Prime tablet has matching (or better) specs, HDMI out, and can use Bluetooth controllers - including PS3 controllers. And it's hardly the only tablet in that class.
I still mostly game on my PC or PS3, anyway. The Ouya will certainly be (a lot) cheaper than a higher-end tablet, but I dunno how successful it'll be as a game platform.
If everyone has motion control, then developers will be more likely to use it. It's totally in Sony's interest to make sure their motion controls get the widest possible audience. Just the way it is.
And they don't have to call it the PS4 if they don't want. How about "Playstation Tetra"? (They could even have a Playstatin Eye on top of a pyramid for a logo.) "Playstation Quadris"?
I dunno Japanese, but they seem to be pret...
My highly minimal set of platinums needed no DLC. (Infamous 1 & 2, Terminator Salvation, Sly Cooper 1). I'll get to plat on Batman:AA and Just Cause 2 one day, too, and they don't need DLC.
I think the author was rather harder on inFamous than necessary. But either way, inFamous 2 was improved in every area he talked about, in many case greatly so.
Also, no love for Just Cause 2? In some ways it broke every rule he laid out - but it was still undeniably fun.
@iceman06 - The point here is that Washington *could* have chosen 'absolute power'. The option was made available to him... and he explicitly and forcefully turned it down. He wasn't a saint by any means, but he wasn't tempted by that particular path.
Given that other, far more plausible options are available... there's no reason to pick him, and plenty not to.
Of course, if they're picking George Washington based on name recognition... then that means they are not doing it "as a way to better understand a time period" as they claim. The author's point is that, given their claimed purpose, someone like Benedict Arnold actually would help with 'understanding the time period'.
So either Ubisoft is lying about their motivations, or they are pursuing their goals badly.
Cut-scenes are the biggest problem for me. Maybe - *maybe* - you make them unskippable the *first* time you see them. After that, you let the player bypass them.
The same goes for the "Made with MyBrand techology on the BrandName Engine with the Branded codec..." crap when you're loading the game. I'll forgive developers - grudgingly - if they force us to watch that the first time we boot up the game. (Free hint: a smart designer can be doing install operati...
@IIC0mPLeXII - My five year old seems to be able to grasp "What if everyone did that?"
It never ceases to amaze me that teenage males don't comprehend it, let alone alleged 'grown ups'. Oh, well.
Yeah, if I need to charge up my controllers I kick off LWP and leave 'em plugged in when I go to bed. They get charged and some hopefully-useful computation gets done.
Hope so, but it seems early...
Sucker Punch did such a good job with that game.
So many people hated Zeke after Infamous 1. In the UGC beta, there were tons of missions with titles like "Kill Zeke!" But once I2 came out, and people played through the story, those were very thin on the ground.
What kind of control scheme do you want? Trigger buttons to move and aim, dpad to fire, joystick gestures to spell out inventory commands?
Sometimes you use a particular configuration because it, y'know, works.
They missed the bit about the TPS reports...
The first was good, never played the second. Mildly interested to see how they build on it.
