Sony and Microsoft are in the business of selling console hardware, and tarriffs on China will not prevent that from happening. Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, The Philippines, South Korea, Mexico, and even Japan themselves are all viable alternatives to Communist China.

Yeah...no.

Vietnam is also another option. I'm also sure that Japan is still a major manufacturer of goods too.

I'm with you Anomander, as I came to the same conclusions more or less. Although, I think im going to go with the 2080 Super, as a poor man's 2080 TI, just to ensure that I am future proofing myself as much as possible. I wont be gaming at 4K, since i'm into ultra wide 3440 x 1440 gaming. Once you go ultra wide, you cant go back to 16:9, even if it is 4k, which the 2080 Super will probably be pretty good for, at very hgh settings, for at least for the next few years.

Thank goodness, as this brings AMD into proper price to performance competition with Nvidia, but I want to hear about the RX 5800 and RX 5900 already. Waiting 8 or 9 more months is just a poor strategy by AMD. By that time, Nvidia will have something else that is new to beat whatever the RX 5800 and RX 5900 end up being, and there is no way AMD will launch new cards 6 - 8 months into 2020.

Based on these charts, the RX 5700 XT Anniversary Edition will probably match the RTX 2070 Super for the most part, sometimes underperforming, sometimes performing better, depending on the game. I guess nobody has an Anniversary Edition to test, because it really should have been included in these benchmarks.

I'm am so excited that i'm gearing up for a new PC build. A 2080 Super or maybe even a 2080 TI ought to do the trick.

I agree, Silicon Valley, Hollywood, the Liberal news media and the video game industry has gone completely out of control, to the point where they are alienating half of their customers. I'm definitely more interested in this game after co-director's comments.

That's just it, if AMD had come in $75.00 - $100.00 cheaper than the RTX cards, they would have taken the GPU market by storm. Many people who study manufacturing costs of Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, feel that AMD would still be making a descent profit margin at $350.00 USD for the RX 5700 XT.

Not to mention that everyone knew at least a month ago, that Nvidia were going to be refreshing their GPU line-up. If some is complaining about getting screwed over, then they never researched what they were buying in the first place. For those people, I say stick to console gaming.

Rumors are swirling that the PS5 will essentially be as powerful as a Vega 64/ GTX 1080, which is probably where the RX 5700 (non-XT) will fit in, which is competing against the RTX 2060. I suspect that the RX 5700 will be the Navi chip that is included in the next PlayStation and perhaps the Xbox Two. Anything higher than that, and the price will be too high.

I'm thinking that if you own, at bare minimum, an RTX 2070/ RTX 2060 Super/ RTX 2070 Super and up on the Nvidia...

I was really looking forward to Navi, and I was even considering Radeon VII, mainly because I wanted to support AMD in the face of Nvidia's domination of the discreet GPU market.

However, the RTX 2070 Super($499.99)pretty much kills the Radeon VII ($699.99) since it is $200.00 cheaper, and according to bemchmarks released, it hangs right at Radeon VII's performance level, and even surpasses it at times. Unfortunately Radeon VII is a dead card now in terms of value. ...

The executives are the ones who have completely lost touch with reality. There is also no question in my mind, that the decline in the Battlefield series and the Mass Effect series are 100% due to exectuive meddling. Let the studios do what they want, and they'll be even more successful. Right now however, EA and their studios are being damaged beyond repair with Andrew Wilson at the helm. I'm sure he is the master when it comes to FiFa, but he is just clueless when it comes to anythi...

There will always be a place for physical discs, or cartridges, which are more likely as time goes on. There are enough hardcore gamers and people who live in areas where the internet maxes out at 20mbps download speed, with bandwidth caps of 100 - 200 gigabytes, that even if Sony, Microsoft, Google and heaven forbid, Nintendo, were to go full retard, and stop offering physical copies of games, that some other company or companies would see the opportunity to service the segment of the market...

If your a fan of Halo, Gears, Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport, then you're liking what Microsoft has been putting out this generation. Not every gamer is interested in every single PlayStation exclusive game. I personally don't care about the vast majority of PS exclusive games, simply because they are not the kinds of games I like to play.

Some of the games that made me a fan of Sony's, was Resistance, Socom, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Killzone, Uncharted, ...

What an immature statement. Nintendo provides a different experience, which you can only get on a Nintendo console. Nintendo has always targeted a younger audience, which is just fine, since I don't personally feel like young kids should be playing on an Xbox or on PlayStation, particularly with all of the terrible language people use online.

I grew up with Nintendo, albeit back when the video games industry was just coming up, and I have fond memories of those days. I...

This is good news. It was only a year ago I believe, where Alan Wake went on sale again, after being taken out of circulation digitally for a couple of years, due to some of the music rights in the game having been expired. Microsoft was cool enough to pay to renew the rights to the music, so that the game could be sold again.

This article really doesn't shed too much light on the ownership of the I.P., which Microsoft obviously agreed to hand over to Remedy. I'd l...

Short answer is yes, it is devaluing games, along with EA Access/Origin Access, PS Now and UPLAY+. It is these services that will kill the AAA game industry. People will no longer value a $60.00 game the way they do today. Instead, they will view big budget games as chump change, and will also be much quicker to give negative user reviews. It will also make it much tougher for online game communities to grow, since people will be switching to the newest game that comes along, or there will be...
