I'll love mine when I get one. Zelda WW HD and Pikmin 3 can't come any sooner.
Wish them luck. XOne has some really great games coming for it. I am going PS4 but I'll likely buy the One when a redesigned model releases.
It doesn't matter to me if the PS4 will win or not, I am still buying one.
Better than nothing. The Vita needs more games.
It needs games of its own, ports are great when they play well, but Jak Collection is a poor example of a port worth buying. Games designed for the Vita from the ground up is what this system needs.
Hardware is hardware. What about the games? The only way you can enjoy the hardware is when you play a game.
You can list games and they are good games, but none of these games have mass appeal and the Vita lacks heavy sellers. There is a reason the Vita isn't selling and that is not the consumer's fault.
The PS2 IMO had a much larger quantity of quality exclusives. There were platforming and RPGs, something relatively lacking on the PS3. Hopefully the PS4 will deliver at least half of the PS2-like variety of games given the cheaper than XOne price, lower development costs, and a friendly architecture.
That being said the PS3 is a very nice system. Definitely better than 360 and Wii, IMO anyway.
I am getting it even if I have to import this. I hope it will get localized though, it's games like this the Vita needs.
1. Price drop, and include a low-end memory card in the box so the system becomes ready to play like it should
2. More jRPGs, P4 Golden is a big hint the Vita would be a great platform for this genre of games
3. More AAA Vita exclusives like LBP, less watered-down PS3 ports like Jak Collection (at least make the games work like they should or don't bother), Vita needs to stand out as platform of its own, not a PS3-lite portable
The Wii U can do fine with its hardware but it needs more 1st and 3rd party support. The 3DS is a fine example of that. Not so great hardware, but it has glasses-free 3D, a fast-growing userbase, strong 3rd party support, and way more 1st party support than the Wii U.
Gaming is going through a lot of growing pains, and genres like jRPGs and 3D platforming are severely lacking compared to previous generations but games nowadays are technically more variant than ever before. New genres have been introduced, indies, and 2D gaming is back stronger than ever, and cheaper too.
How can you really be this upset?
KH has been on Nintendo handhelds since GBA, not just PS.
I am fortunate to be able to play my 3DS at work and PS4 at home. :)
PS4/3DS, amazing combo.
Good point.
Gamecube has better graphics than the PS2. I doubt last-gen graphics really has anything to do with the desperate situation the Wii U is currently in.
"doesn't have any new games."
You're much more right about that, and post-launch lineup is lackluster at best.
I pre ordered my PS4 and picking up a Wii U along with my PS4 on the same day. Never tried buying multiple systems at once, it might be double the fun.
I have 7 games, excluding PS+ offerings for the Vita. That = no games.
Troll soup for dinner tonight.
