Rockstar's last game was Max Payne 3. It received several multiplayer DLCs and just a screen filter for the singleplayer mode.
Agreed. I don't see the problem with Mad Max's story progression locked behind some scraps because that forces players to explore the world even more. In The Witcher 3 I went hunting for side quests and exploring the game world before I even have any interest with the main storyline. Plus, you can upgrade strongholds to accelerate the automated collection of scraps. That's better than some games that inexplicably asked for your actual credit card number to have access to certain i...
I'm a PC only gamer because it's not just about the games. Games, work, videos, music, surfing the internet, fooling around with GIMP - all that in one single device.
Another main, a much more recent one, reason for me sticking with the PC is the prices. I used to wait for Steam Sales but then the daily and weekly sales appeared...and then Steam started selling games in local currencies and suddenly games are ever cheaper than ever. I have a friend whose husband is a ...
Yeah, it's very weird that Mad Max is receiving such lukewarm critical responses. I like it and I don't mind the repetitive elements because they were fun to do.
Is it possible that these critics were already expecting Mad Max to crash and burn long before it was released? WB didn't promoted the game as intensely as MGSV and there was barely any pre-release reviews. The game, however, ended up defying their preconceived expectations and some of these critics begr...
It's pretty how the tech world operates, nothing to do with karma. I remember when AMD dominated Intel's products for years with it's Athlon CPUs. Then, Intel released the Core CPUS and AMD is still struggling to catch up. The same goes for the GPU wars- ATI was beating several generations of Nvidia cards until the GTX8800 came out and changed everything. It's more like taking your time and adapt kind of move instead of karma.
AMD has all the early advantage w...
The Witcher 3, Mad Max and MGSV: Phantom Pain. 2015 is full of gruff, bearded men tearing apart their respective world. It's been a great year for open world games.
Perhaps they willingly sacrificed their own vacation now so they won't be bothered when they get their vacation after the game is launched. It's better to enjoy a vacation where you can truly relax with no bother instead going to a vacation with a huge amount unfinished work at the office still pounding at the back of your mind.
That has always bothered me in RPGs. I noticed that in most games gender are based on the player's personal preference with no stark differences in abilities. I find that is weird because in Skyrim each main character differ from one another because of their race, stars and other stats but somehow gender doesn't have an effect.
Even in some FPS, mostly multiplayer, went out of their way to explain in the customization screen that there won't be any much difference...
Now it looks like a low budget, direct-to-video action movie. Some blood even spurts just before the sword even touch the target.
It has some interesting features but also some that are not. What's up with the RGB lights and backlit panels? They only will make me glow like some alien astronaut in a dark room while unnecessarily draining the battery on the wireless headset
Same here. I'm not very competitive so I seldom play online. During my occasional time playing online I usually hang back and support my team mates. There are other online games that are not competitive like Day Z but the horror stories of people just outright murder you from the start kept me away from it.

I agree that shooters are the easiest form of mp games to jump into but they have lost their luster somewhat. I have played Counterstrike LAN pa...
The women in The Witcher are frighteningly powerful. They can easily wield magic from the mundane to destructive WMD level stuff while the men are limited to feeble imitations. The women held significant influence over the fates of nations with their own version of the UN/Jedi Counsel while the largest men only magic organization in the game is the peaceful druid.
I thought the men in the Witcher are the typical brutes but some of the women were no different. Sure, The Bloody...
"“And what’s cool about it is you can split up-and-down or side-by-side, or across two monitors. You can do this in campaign, multiplayer, and zombies,”
That's the split screen options they're offering for the PC? Now, I'm interested even though I don't play split screen games that often. I like having the option available in my games but having the screen split in such small screens have always been a very disorienting experience.
The fa...
A couple of years ago I was playing Max Payne 3 while baby sitting my baby nephew. He enjoyed seeing the action in game and after I'm done playing he was re-enacted some of them in the living room. He was jumping around like Max Payne with his toy gun, hiding behind pillars and even lying prone on the floor while shooting(a set of new "skills" he acquired from the game). It was cute but I was a bit concerned.
Fast forward to last week I was baby sitting him agai...
Indie devs are the darlings of the gaming industry at the moment but I just can't stand the childish attitude some of them show when things go south.
“You Never Know What Future Holds”
Of course we know what the future holds. It holds more and more updates.
You know what's better than streaming XBox games to Windows 10? Actually playing PC versions of those games.
MS is making this 180 simply it needed the PC as fallback for it's console. It's not doing well against the PS4 but they also see Sony is still not secure financially even with that massive lead. Supporting PC gaming means MS will have a solid financial backup.
MS wants to capture the huge F2P and MMO market especially with China finally li...
A good way to see a KBM player versus another player with a controller. No lag or cross platform problems in sight.
Unless they're talking about co-op split screen then, never mind.
If a game wants to be 8 hours or less singleplayer only affair while still asking for $60, it better have a lot of extras and replayability to sweeten the deal. A game may have the best story in the gaming world but it's the gameplay that drew us in so they should let us play with those gameplay elements beyond the campaign/story mode.
It's a tiny water pistol against a raging fire of a man. What do you expect?
A fire hydrant, a fire extinguisher or dropping a water tank on him might be a different matter.
