I'm well aware of the game's history. That's why I'm not interested with it when it was first announced. Then, they started talking about singleplayer campaigns so I'm eager to hear how it'll turn out.

It's fine that you are not bothered by the story but for us singleplayer we might be entering a disturbing future: singleplayer portions that require online connections or have items/features that are locked behind the online wall.

Same here. I'm primarily a singleplayer now. The Division sounded it offered something for everyone but I'm still waiting confirmation whether it will fully embrace a true singleplayer experience, i.e offline play.

"They still haven’t said yet if the game will offer and offline experience, but based on the amount of stuff going on behind the scenes, as noted in the previous paragraph, I don’t see an offline mode being a possibility." Yup, not really excited...

What bothered me while playing Just Cause 3 the fact that some time I wished it was another game altogether. While I was gliding around the beautiful landscape, I wished I was playing a Jurassic Park game. While I was zipping around with the grapple hook, I wished I was playing a Spiderman game.

As for MGSV, I was puzzled by the fact that the evil boss spent so much resources and efforts to cover up the discovery of an ancient human skeleton. Sure, the skeleton inspired him...

Well, the prequel to Homeworld will be releasing in a couple of week. It's an RTS so it'll be exclusively on the PC.

Don't worry, it's announcement was low key and sudden so I doubt it's even a blip on your radar. In fact, there's barely any fancy ad or hype about it even as the release date creeps closer. Besides, I'm sure console fans couldn't care less about a game/genre that they couldn't possibly play with controllers.

With three hundred games in my library, bundles have lost their luster. A lot of the bundles I encountered have games that I already owned so they lost their value a bit.

The recent Winter Steam Sale has a nice twist with its discovery cue. They incentivized going through the cue with card drops. I participated with that scheme, going through several cues a day and in the process I discovered quite a number of new games that I'm not aware of.

It's funny that all those exclusives that consoles have can't kill PC gaming. I remember an article about the game Strike Vector coming to consoles and one of the commenters said the PC community should've taken care of it better in light of poor sales. Well, I could say the same about some of the console games that should've been great success and yet got lukewarm sales and now ended being ported to the PC. For example, Vanguish mentioned in the article.

It's to give their narrative more impact, to justify their agenda.

I don't get sick from 30fps but it can affect the gaming experience for me at time. Some games feels fine at 30fps but there are times(mostly due to badly ported games) when I could just feel the sluggishness suck the fun away.

@OgglyBoggly
The generation before doesn't seem to mind because 30fps was pretty much a standard in consoles and PC gaming is another alien demographic far removed from theirs. Starting from the last generation, however, PC and consoles...

Suddenly, a prequel to one of my favorite RTS popped out of nowhere. And it's releasing in just a month.

"EA Makes More Than 2X More Money From Extra Content Than From Full Digital Games"
-Title from gaming articles back in November.

That does that answer your question?

He's talking about the highest graphical fidelity that is way beyond what consoles can do. And that usually means pretty expensive PC hardware.

Several months ago there was a video from gaming website that tried to see if people can really see the differences in FPS between the consoles and PC. They used three versions Far Cry 4 played with controllers and the onscreen prompts hidden. That little test unknowingly busted the old claim that console versions of games offer a...

I don't think it needed to. They wanted to talk about 5 good things in PC gaming so they will only talk about that specific topic. They could always make another article in the future talking about the 5 negative things about the PC.

I think just a couple of weeks ago I saw a site released an article talking about 5 positive points about a topic and soon after they released a newer article talking about the negative points.

Ouch! The comment section for that article is a very bad place for any passing PC gamer. It's becoming apparent that some console game devs need the PC market to help with sales but it seems that some console fans aren't that eager seeing PC beggars get their hands on it.

I agree. Diablo 3's DRM didn't became a norm but it evolved even further when consoles got their hand on it. Just look at what happened when the consoles finally caught up with the PC hardware-wise: MS couldn't wait to enforce a much more malicious version of always-online with the XB1.

Free-to-play and microtransanction was forged on the PC and yet when it got to the PS4 XB1, everything was ramped up to ludicrous levels(like putting MT i...

I had a similar feeling of despair several years back. For two years the gaming media and PC gamers ridiculed and boycotted Ubisoft's always-online DRM. Ubisoft gave up and I thought that would be a lesson for other companies to learn from. I was wrong and victory was short-lived. Not long after Ubisoft's defeat, Blizzard released Diablo 3. My heart sank as I watch the same media and gamers that shamed Ubisoft into submission gave Diablo 3's a pass for using the same DRM.

Granted this is a limited gameplay footage but so far the Beastmaster looks like just another layer of weapon, enemy detection and transport mechanic which might make it a very shallow addition. It would be pointless trying to collect 10 types of wild cats if all they do is just attack your target.

If they could make we control a number of them at a time for a tactical combat then it would truly be interesting. For example, sending the badger to distract enemies from a spot w...

I was a disgusting pirate. It was my only source of gaming since it's near impossible to get legit games in my place. There were a handful of video game shops but they sold only console games and no PC games. Even to this day I can only find one shop that sells legit PC games.

Of course everything changed after I moved back to my hometown with proper internet. After I started buying games from Steam I never looked back at piracy. At least I stayed true to my boastful decl...

For me it's a 3/4. The overall performance issues are not as crippling as AC: Unity or Arkham Knight. I'm willing to give JC3's buggy state a pass simply because it is a grander game than the sequels and still run sufficiently compared to the other two aforementioned games that somehow still performed horribly even though their makers have been using the same game engines for years. In short the game is enjoyable with refine gameplay and graphic that is not pulled out of shelves f...

SJWs were able to spread their influence in other places like the political scene, the movie industry and traditional news media because they have direct access to the people in charge. Everything they say and do will be backed up by people running those industries.

Gaming, however, is a tough shell for them to crack. Gamers are too intertwined with the industry that any little drastic changes will be met with resistance. They tried to subvert the gaming media to be their pup...
