We already have all of those elements in gaming long before any of these activists came shouting into our ears and shoving their agenda on us. We have tons of female characters before Sarkessian made her videos. Even to this day I'm still hoping some dev out there would remake Oni or NOLF. Mario is the most beloved fat hero while Eddie Gordo has been kicking ass for years. Samus Aran turned to be a woman all along and everyone cheered. In Total War The Vatican kept threatening me with exc...
First it was the feminists who want to dig their heels into gaming. Then some calls for minorities to take bigger roles. After that trans and fat people feeling butthurt for not being included. And now religion.

That is terrible news, especially after recovering from another type cancer.
Hope he can beat this cancer. His shows have been very entertaining and helpful.
I may not have a big room but I don't think it would be difficult to move some stuff around to accommodate. However, I am holding my excitement for VR in check for the moment because it is a brand new technology and for most of its early years it will be chaotic. Unlike the Kinect that stumbled around a lot looking for support, VR is seriously on its way in becoming a new gaming standard.
It's good that Valve released the survey result. We've been hearing a lot of...
At least they asked consumers before forcing a new standard/tech on them, gauging what they can or can't do. They are set on releasing the VR headset but now that they have some new info, feedback from consumers, they can adjust additional requirements accordingly. They have seen how people reacted to MS Kinect so I'm sure they are avoiding the same mistake.
Valve can start selling their VR set to fit the current survey and add more features as the tech gain acceptanc...
The unfortunate thing is that the reviewers have much more power with their opinions than the Joe Nobody. What they say could make or break a new game.
In this age of quick online responses however this is not a one way affair between reviewers and dev-now gamers can quickly and vocally express their thoughts on a game. Most of the reviewers are mostly spot on with their observations about Mad Max but they should've considered how real gamers would feel about the game. T...
One shot, one kill doesn't mean it's realistic, especially in a futuristic setting with power armor. Are the soldiers in the latest COD series wearing stormtrooper armor that even a single shot from a pistol can penetrate them?
I wasn't sure whether I'm watching a video for a space flight sim or a reboot of Doom 3. For some reason the character models are scary and I just want to get out of that ship fast.
Why are they listening to only ONE particular group/side of the matter? Don't they do some sort of their own independent investigation-like asking other groups/experts for their opinion or confirming the data given-before declaring the only group present as the bearer of absolute truth?
I liked the first AC because it was something I've never played before. The second AC put me off because the control scheme was so confusing. In fact it puts me off so much that I ignored pretty much every other AC sequels that follow because they don't differ very much except for the settings.
Then the hype surrounding the naval combat in AC: Black Flag made me buy it when it was cheap. The first taste of the naval combat was amazing. Then...I returned to the clunky ...
Yep, I was surprised, too. When I first saw the trailer I was excited. Then disappointed to see it was a multiplayer game.
Now, I'm interested again to see it has a singleplayer. And sounds like the singleplayer is a good place for a player to try out new gear before going online.
Same here. I have been wondering what kind of effect I'll get if keep killing soldiers that I don't extract. The soldiers are a bit reluctant to tell me about the position of their friends. They used to tell me willingly but now none of them would say anything.
"It appears from the trailer that Guerrilla has taken all the pieces of games that we know and love and mashed them into something new."
I'm getting confused. Shadow of Mordor was called just another AC clone for having similar sneaking and parkour system while Mad Mad got a lot of flak for being another open world. They both introduced new/fresh game elements like the Nemesis System and car combat but they are still considered just ripping off other games.
60 hours of straight up MGSVTPP and I'm still kidnapping Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan. My wrists are hurting.
I'm scared what Fallout 4 would do.
I know it's only a game that require constant balancing but the armies in the latest Battlefield series have pretty horrible generals. I mean, they send pilots to fly sorties with the barest of war fighting capabilities. Young pilots flew with no AA missiles to kill enemy pilots and no flares to spoof enemy missiles.
Now they are trying their best to nerf their own tanks(after several years of war in the game's storyline).
Those who are excited with the prospect of getting this game for the PC and XB1 are getting quite a lot of dislike. I guess some fans doesn't like the idea of their exclusive game being offered to other platforms just as it is about to be launched.
So they can milk them dry later on in other forms like pachinko/slot machines, arcade machines and mobile versions.
I understand the need for exclusives. Let's not forget that FPSes were once exclusive to the PC. Then the XBox came along and changed everything. It didn't turn out great for PC gaming for a while until Steam came around so forgive me for being apprehensive with this new ecosystem.
Aside from that I'm also questioning the position of PC gaming in Windows 10. Based on the upcoming titles and features announced Windows 10 seems to be much more beneficial for the XBo...
"Halo, forza etc, will always be xbox exclusives."
That's why I'm uncomfortable with this new Windows 10/XB1 super ecosystem. It will hurt PC gaming more than ever by segregating the PC and XBox gamers. XBox fans will still get those exclusives while PC gamers will only see MMOs and F2Ps.
PC gamers are getting only half of the value from this new super ecosystem while XB1 fans will enjoy the full experience.
That's Denuvo DRM in action. All of my games that use that DRM(MGS5, Lords of the Fallen and Mad Max) will crash during boot from time to time, always when I'm in offline mode. They don't crash at the second boot.
