The implication being they failed with this one? Game journalism has become a cesspool. Bend does deserve to make a second game but not because they need a "second chance" but because they did a really good job with the initial game and have shown they can make games at a much higher level.
Are you just as impressed with the way non-Sony fans are attacking it? You know people wouldn't feel the need to defend a game they actually think is good and has gotten some very questionable reviews if it wasn't for the fact certain people who dont even own a console the game can be played on weren't using those reviews as fodder for their fanboy war. 've never received a dime from Sony but I'll tell anyone Days Gone is a good game, because it is.
Spurg seriously dude why dont you just stop already we've all had enough of your trolling. Days Gone is not mediocre you'd know that had you actually played it.
I think people laughed at secret sauce back then because no sauce ever showed up. We have to wait and see if PS5 has the sauce or if its just more exec speak.
Absolutely. A lot of the negativity has come from reviewers with agendas and trolls using the scores from said reviews to wage their fanboy war. Read through the comments and you'll see the people actually playing it are really enjoying it and find it to be a really good game. You should defenitly check it out.
Bend did a fantastic job and should be commended for what they've created. You're right this game is many levels of magnitude higher in terms of scale and scope from what they've previously done but they have done a tremendous job with Days Gone. They didn't bite off more then they could chew, they worked hard to give gamers something amazing and sure they have lessons to learn but what developer doesn't?
Its good its not a stellar Uncharted, God of War, Last of Us level experience but it is far better than some are giving it credit for. My recommendation is if you're on the fence about it rent it or borrow from a friend if you can and just play it for yourself and I think you'll see what I mean.
And yet I didn't see that compliant made for State of Decay, Dead Rising, Dying Light, Resident Evil, The Walking Dead, World War Z, etc. People are being very selective in their supposed genre fatigue.
No that's pretty much you finding a video showing a few glitches that not everyone has experienced. We gonna pretend Days Gone is the first game to have glitches? We gonna forget they've been releasing fixes?
Several negative reviews complain about the fact his wife doesn't get enough focus in the game, they complain about his name, that he's not "hardcore enough" of a biker to be a convincing biker, that all the creatures are white, etc. none of that is fair and none of that should be factors in game reviews. Rather people like it or not theres agenda based hate for this game it can easily be seen in Eurogamers review and Gamespots and in the twitter comment that were made by Ga...
Yep saw that last night she got caught, her twitter was filled with ludicrous comments. Strange how that hasn't been posted here at N4G. I know anytime someone mentions a particular three letter acronym here the comment gets marked inappropriate but a warrior was exactly what she was trying to be. She already started trouble at IGN which is why shes at Gamespot now but she needs to be out of gaming entirely shes clearly a biased agenda based person and not a real gamer.
If the complaint was just difficulty you could almost forgive some of these ridiculous reviews but that's not the excuse people are using to give low review scores. Those usually include the fact the game has a "gruff white male protagonist" and things like "he has a porn star name" and yes those sound ridiculous but really are actual complaints made in negative reviews I've seen. Gamespots Kallie Plagge was caught purposely tanking her review, outside of the revie...
