I've never seen so many people so personally hurt because of other people playing the game and really enjoying it and disagreeing with the negative reviews. The only time people have connected SJW attitudes to reviews for this game is in the cases when they were blatantly there, if you can read Eurogamers review and Gamespots review and the reviewers tweets regarding the game and not see the blatant virtue signaling going...
Yep Gamespot reviewer Kellie Plagge, it wasn't in her original review but she tweeted that insane comment and others. There's a given reason as to why theres no color in the freakers skin but she clearly wasn't paying any attention when that was explained in the game.
It has some bugs but I wouldn't call it a "wilderness of" them, there have been games with far more bugs than Days Gone has and clearly not everyone is having the same experience regarding this as I've seen many say their experience has been quite different, I personally haven't had a bug free game but they're no where near as extensive as this and other reviews have tried to make out and they're not at all game breaking.
I've gotten very few none of the stuff CaptainOmega listed, I have had a crow stuck in a wall, a missing entry gate or two at camps and the occasional frame dip but overall I must be lucky because its been pretty smooth sailing. The really funny thing is this line has already been explained, theres a flashback cut scene later (SPOILER ALERT) where she tells him she doesn't want one of those biker wedding where people make those kinds of comments so it was clearly being said as a joke during the wedding, so in order to not know that you have to have had to either not actually played the game, not played it that far, or had your face buried in your cell phone during that cut scene. Don't forget he has a problem with it having a "barren empty world", last time I checked zombie apocalypses typically leave the world pretty barren. Shocked he didn't complain that you cant pop a wheelie on your bike.
A few journalists and a few individuals here, these kinds of reviews are continually being posted by the same handful of N4G members but you're right it hasn't been working as people are playing it and loving it regardless of their efforts.
Means future proofing for a resolution that hasn't been adopted yet but will be eventually rather the human I can see it or not. I'm less concerned about what it means for 8K and more excited for what it means for 4K as we should be seeing native 4K across the board with all games now.
