"Sony boys" are the ones playing its so "Sony boys" would know. FYI most "Sony boys" aren't saying its great they're saying its a good game that's worth buying and worth playing which really seems to bother some people.

I honestly hope the vocal minority has no effect on this game, I'm hoping word of mouth will be more than enough to circumvent some of these ridiculous reviews. The game is really good and it and the developer deserve far more credit than what they got from some reviewers. Good news is it sounds like people really like it and its doing well commercially so here's hoping its the start of anther great IP for PlayStation, even Uncharted had to start somewhere.
Trolls use the bad reviews comment section to do what they do and people actually playing the game respond to defend it even though its a futile effort. And round and round we go.

Another uniformed opinion from someone not actually playing it. Well since it outsold Mortal Kombat 11 in the UK which is a multiplat game it doesn't sound like the flop you wish it was. Your trolling is painfully generic so why dont you just stop.
Games on the scale of Days Gone are massive productions with lots of moving parts, things are bound to get missed its fortunate that we live in a time when they can be fixed through a simple patch update.
On Pro and been running 1.06 all day and theres been no crashing. The only frame issue Ive had was when I passed under the train car and a horde was coming out the game paused for a second and then it was fine, that's the only frame type issue Ive seen.
So low scores and poor reviews are an opinion but counter arguments by people playing the game who think its good is "damage control"? um ok. You're a have your cake and eat it too kind of guy apparently.
But that's not what it means, the word mediocre is defined as "of only moderate quality; not very good". Some people are using it as a term to try and belittle the game, I know that's not your intention but that defenitly is other peoples. Probably just better to say non AAA or AA instead. Anyway have fun with it this weekend I think you'll enjoy it and realize its much better than its being given credit for by certain people.
The only thing I find ridiculous is people calling it mediocre, its not on the level of Sony's premiere franchises but I never expected it to be its new IP, Uncharted didn't start out where it is. Bend Studios did a great job with DG, sounds like you haven't played it yet but once you do I'm confident you'll find all this "mediocre" malarkey to be total BS.

Right, people now complaining about the frequency of updates that are there to fix the issues those same people are complaining about. Damned if they do and damned if they dont with some people. I agree though glad to see them supporting the game and getting out updates quickly, take note Bungie!
Maybe people are worked up because people who aren't actually playing it are calling it "an average game". Calling it average is an insult and people saying it know what they're saying and why they're saying it. The game is not a master piece, its not perfect, its not GOTY but it is better than "mediocre". Bend Studios deserves more credit than that.
