No, it helps the industry. I am more likely to buy an expensive console if I can get some cheaper games for it, I am more likely to pay full price for a new game if I can then sell it when I am finished. Used games belong in the gaming eco system, and compliment other elements.

This is why I don't leave electricals on all of the time, fully powered or in standby, when not in use I unplug it. My fridge freezer, my telephone, my alarm clock, smoke detectors and CO2 detectors are always on but that is it.
The potential fire hazard, and the waste of electricity is why the whole concept of XB1 is flawed.
(Whole concept as in XB1 powered on for 10 years, and with X amount of set top boxes and other things plugged in, also powered on).
Considering Guerilla Games' relatively small devlopement budget for Shadow Fall they have apparently delivered a great launch title
Thank you for that. It does look good, I especially like their smoke, dust, exhaust flames, water effects, and the movement of the cars bouncing on their suspension. Discounting resolution ect these visual effects lift it above anything I have played. I hope it is nearly ready (and GT6 approaches it).
This article was 'teri-bad', and what fucking language is this? Why not compare Forza 5 to Forza 4, would make sense? As you used GT6, why not compare GT6 to F4?
GT6 is great looking, new consoles do not make it suddenly crap. Yes, it is missing the next gen polish, but Forza is hardly next-gen.... yet.

Although hard to extract from the console, PS3 did have a real world performance advantage over the 360. Cell B.E and a crap GPU out performed Xenon and Xenos.
The performance gap between the new machines is more than last gen, and when we scale up with each console about 10 times better than last gen, we will definately notice this beyond launch window excuse time frame.

Think I would just press a button on a remote. Having everything constantly on, wasting electricity, wired through the console and half of the time it all doesn't work, it all sounds like an unnecessary mess.
Well, to return the serve with an argument used against Uncharted, ect.... Ryse is a barely interactive movie, but it is visually good, not amazing, at launch.
I will believe the tech talk from Guerilla Games. Why? They were able to deliver 3D to an already graphically impressive game on PS3. If you don't like Killzone, you still should acknowledge any technical boundaries that they push.

Absolutely, and PlayStation users are used to having that ability. But Sony have tried, and failed with that approach. If the market doesn't want it then.......
The reason why backwards compatibility was dropped was that only a few people, like myself, went out and payed the premium price at launch for a PS3. To suggest that Sony should have repeated that mistake when they are delivering a better selling console with more power, and cheaper than their rival is stupid.
At the February event I was a little dissapointed with the lack of a next-gen Cell Processor ect, but it all makes sense now. Clearly Sony made the right choices.

You are correct, except for Motorstorm which we got at launch here in the U.K. That game was better graphically than any other title at the time, even better than Gears on 360, different types of game I know, but Gears was a benchmark in those early days, and Motorstorm as a launch title impressed.
I think we all want that. But the slogan should maybe be 'PS4, Only does the important things', or 'Only does the good stuff', in a friendly-competitive dig at the competition.
Now I am looking forwards to Digital Foundry getting their paws on DriveClub, it should not compete but will deliver more exciting visuals with more fun game play.
Sorry, I cant recall. You shouldn't believe all that you read, I know this but PS4 apparently has a smaller disc drive, which means that it was more progressively developed.

Answer is no. Clue, look at PS3 library, and what is still arriving. People know PS4 is a great investment.
