As somebody who got GT4, GT5, and GT6 at launch my advice would be trade in GT5 and get the new game. It is better, but on the same hardware. Pointless going through both at this late stage. And the online community will be migrating over.
If you were just going to stick with 5 I would recommend it, I enjoyed it, but you want 6!

Looking forwards to seeing real console footage. If this turns out to be great then Polyphony will do an even better job with GT7, and Turn 10 should be kicked along aswell.
My initial impression as well. The breadth of game play in Gran Turismo defends itself.
GT6 has more HD era car models. The ones that have not yet been remodeled look vastly improved, also the lighting, and adaptive tessellation really make all cars look........ like cars.

GT6 improves upon GT5. As a PS3 owner I am very happy. If I had an XB1 I would be glad of Forza 5.

GT is great on PS3. Releasing it on PS4 would not showcase what PS4 is capable of.
Look at Forza 5. A last gen game on a new console doesn't make it next-gen.
If I had an XB1 I would be grateful for F5, no doubt. But GT6 is justified on PS3. Who knows what improvements will come over the next few months?

Vapour-ware as far as I am concerned. Until it is released on console GT6 is King. And, as already mentioned, we get no concrete details. I am looking forwards to P.Cars, but I'm keeping my expectations in check.

Have you played GT6? No. Well, the PS2 cars look great after being touched up, and look better with the improved lighting.

You would be justified if there was something better on 360 or PS3 but, well ...... there isn't.
I am a Sony fan boy, but I am tired of hearing this crap now. Great launch means nothing if great games don't appear in the next year or two. When they do appear then we can all reflect on a great effort from back when.?
I know they will, as GT6 is in my PS3 right now, replacing TLOU, but enough already.
