Totally unexpected... Holy hell!
It's a popularity contest, dude! It's always the most recent big title that wins... Had ODST released in November and Modern Warfare 2 in September ODST would have won. The reason why this is not fair is it's a popularity contest and not all gamers have played every nominee, they just vote for what they have played.
Just a piss poor popularity contest this year. However, incredibly surprising that IW didn't win. I had to turn off the TV.
The shocking announcement of MW2 winning GOTY is sure to ensue. /sarcasm. This is nothing but a popularity contest. At least before the voting system was implemented, it was better set up. These games aren't even being rated on their merits.
Will this stupidity end? These claims are being made about every game now... *Insert Title Here* surpasses GOW. These sensationalist headlines are just being made because they know they can not compete without them and to create hype where there is none.
What's funny is that they are ALL still comparing themselves to GOW. Funny huh? For being so much better, these "supposed" kings should be standing on their own legs rather than comparing themselves to other games and p...
I don't really think the European one is that great and it's too bad about your experience with the game. Lots of people have enjoyed the beta.

I think you're giving Zipper too much credit... Zipper has this mythical status for no reason at all. They are good, but everyone puts them above everyone else. S2 had major lag problems when it came out and eventually was ruined by glitches being exploited.
Anyway, it is a shame that this game took so long to get patched and be good, but it is good now. Slant Six doesn't suck, imo, but they dropped the ball with Confrontation. At least Fireteam Bravo 3 will be great.
Of course... It only sucked before 1.40.
RE4 was better, imo. Who cares about co-op/online when the game is shorter and not as fun as the previous one?
KZ2 is the best shooter of 2009. Who cares about popularity? Lots missing out on a great game, but there are still lots playing KZ2 just not as much as that "other" overhyped game.
VGAs are really just popularity contests... Usually the most recently released big title wins.

I'll have to pick it up to support them. I heard the game was good, I'll have to give it a go. Floods of high quality PS3 exclusives and high quality multiplatform games.

For a sensible post? The only advantage 360 had on PS3 was the price and that is why it sold more. It has no price advantage now and PS3 is selling more, heck when there was a $100 in '08 before MS cut the price again the PS3 was outpacing it.
That would be equally pointless. Who wants XMB integration when they can partner with them to allow the browser to view it?
White Knight Chronicles 2 has already been announced, I doubt there will be any Dark Cloud 3 for awhile. They probably just mean they're going to announce more info about it.
