Many people perceive the Xbox One versions as inferior, therefore choose PS4 or PC versions.

I'm pretty excited about it. In UK many online retailers are still advertising the console as Pre-order, suggesting there must be a backlog or waiting list.
I couldn't wait until 21st March for Amazon to re-stock, so went Private. Hope I don't regret that lol

Developer feedback, and public interest say's 'Yes' it has fulfilled promises....
However, can't get a PS4 for love nor money at UK retail outlets. I managed to bag one literally 10 mins ago for £350 (private seller) via Amazon.
Should arrive within 10 days (countdown begins). Interestingly, Amazon's own outlet will re-stock on 18th March with back orders.

Yes, we all want new consoles to run 1080p and 60fps as standard, but you're not gonna get that consistently until the next, next gen.

Seems the more a device can do, the more likely issues will occur. Almost every console launch is beset with teething troubles. I learned after launch day adoptions of both 360 (RROD) and PS3 (YLOD/Bluray issues), of which both systems proved faulty within 3 months of medium usage.
The most reliable hardware I ever owned that was non-cartridge based, was the excellent, but ill-fated Sega Dreamcast and the Nintendo Gamecube.
