I would actually prefer a lego star wars MMO. At least then they'd have an excuse for an absurd art style. Hell, I'd probably be all over a Lego Star Wars MMO.
Not Gigabytes. They're Gigabits if I'm correct. Generally ISP's sell them to you by the megabit so when they say 8 Mb internet it really means you're probably going to be averaging about 1-1.3 MB I think... Confused the hell out of me for a while there.
Will someone make me a good Gundam game?
...Please?
Now could someone please make me a decent Gundam game or is that never going happen?
@beardpapa
Yeah, seems like a lot of people are writing it off as great, even though it's a Bioware Austin production, and they don't have a track record that I'm aware of at this point.
I understand that. I'm all for making a Star Wars MMO. As long as it maintains a sense of integrity towards the source material and doesn't jerk off all over it. But even then I could get over it, if it wasn't for a couple of things, such as them being a bunch of cock teases and constantly talking about how grateful the kotor fandom should be that this is being made instead of kotor 3 'becuase it's just like kotor 3-12!'. If they didn't call this game The Old Repub...
Lol, no. Not even close. They completely missed the point with this game. They keep preaching on and on about how they're using this game as a huge leap forward for storytelling and character development, and while they may have 12 writers and hundreds of voice actors that doesn't change the fact that they've completely ruined any sense of immersion or caring you could have for the universe and its shallow underdeveloped 'characters' because they made this an MMO. As if th...
I think Steven Blum was voicing the main character. Must buy if so.
Someday, somebody should make an entire production with the only voice talent being him. I'd buy two copies of that.
Why do so many people insist Zelda is an RPG? Screw off G4. You're a bunch of hipster asshats. Stay away from my hobby.
Open like a Mac? Wat?
I always thought of a Mac being like a really nice house with all the furniture and appliances nailed down so that you can never move them. Whereas Windows is sort of like the nice house in the bad part of town where you have more freedom, but eventually you're going to forget to lock your door and you'll come home to find your house on fire. Then you have Linux which is like an awesome house that you can do anything you want to for free, but it...
Hopefully they get this sorted out for Linux.
Aren't most people using Megaupload/Mediafire/Rapidshar e nowadays to avoid getting nice letters from their ISP?
I trust Obsidian with this title. Kotor 2 may have been incomplete, but that is entirely Lucasarts fault, they gave them under a year (if I'm correct) to make a huge RPG on par with the first, and when Obsidian wanted to patch in the missing content LA wouldn't let them from what I heard. A lot of the cut content is still in the game, stashed away in the files. Full voice overs and tracks of music just sitting there. If LA doesn't screw this up, gives Obsidian the budget and time they need, t...
Oh my god... if they do this... and give Obsidian the resources and time they need... I won't be able to contain myself. I will explode with joy, everything will be forgivin, including that horrible bastard child TOR. JUST DONT SCREW WITH THE ART STYLE DAMMIT. I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU GIVE ME HEROIC PROPORTIONED CHARACTERS STAR WARS WILL FOREVER BE DEAD TO ME.
Also, please, PLEASE DONT BE APRIL FOOLS.
Help me obsidian... You're my only hope.
Huh? What's that? I seem to remember Kotor 2 being my preferred game of the two. Sure, it may have been unfinished but I liked the story and characters a lot more. Both are great, and I consider them equal.
Will someone give Obsidian a decent budget, please? They're too good of a studio to be given ghetto budget and time constraints. Hopefully they're getting what they need with New Vegas...
Personally I'd compare it to being more like giving us The Clone Wars, actually. Haha... But yeah LA really screwed the pooch with Kotor 2, there is so much blatantly left out content in the game. Seriously, I was digging through the music files a couple days ago and came across the theme song for that cut droid planet. I hear Obsidian even wanted to patch in the cut content but LA wouldn't let them. And now what sucks even more is that The Sith Lords Restoration Project seems to be dead. Nev...
The MMO is set about 300 years after the events of KOTOR 2. So yeah... They're trying to pass it off as the game to wrap it all up what with all the sayings of "IT'S BASICALLY KOTOR 3-12!" but I'm not buying it. Especially with that art style... Don't think I'm going to care much about these 'heroically proportioned' characters. Uggh.
Give me KOTOR 3, for the love of god just give it to me. And please let Obsidian develop it with a massive budget and the time they need. Please...
Yeah, people are really jumping the gun on this whole 'In Bioware We Trust' deal. I don't think most of them realize that it's Bioware Austin, and that's pretty much made up of former SOE game designers.
