Eh... I'm not so certain about Gundam AGE. Hino isn't exactly known for good stories and I don't like the idea of the show aiming for an even younger demographic than usual. Everything I've seen of it seems worrisome to me unfortunately.

Whatever. I'll still watch it and if it ends up being terrible at the very least we have The Origin coming up which should be excellent.

Isn't ARMA III coming out within 6 months also?

Doesn't get more hardcore than that.

@Johnny Jiron

Obviously there are differences in humor. I to enjoy humor that can be vulgar and lewd.

However in order for me to enjoy it it has to be witty. Well executed. Imaginative.

Saint's Row 3 so far displays non of those attributes in my opinion but instead focuses on cheap thrills and comes across as juvenile. If you find beating somebody with an over sized dildo humorous then good for you. I however don't.

Really? It may be funny if I was still in middle school.

The game comes off as trying too hard with it's juvenile brand of wacky & vulgar humor. I can enjoy wacky & vulgar humor but it has to be witty. Beating somebody with a giant purple dildo does not scream witty to me.

Obviously I prefer the second option. I think you missed the point. It released in an awful state and has a 49 on metacritic because of it. It has a stigma and people who don't follow the game or its improvements would likely be reluctant to give it a try.

I'm simply wondering how they could shake the stigma that the game has and capture peoples interest again. And while steadily improving the game may help I don't see just that doing the trick.

So how would they be able to salvage this game? At this point it seems to have a big stigma associated with it due to being released in an utterly broken state.

Maybe they should just work on it for 3 more years and call it Final Fantasy XV.

I remember having so much hype for this game and being terribly let down when it came out.

5348d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

More action oriented this time? That could be both a good and a bad thing. I hope they retain the depth but at the same time make it more accessible and the good parts about the game easier to come across. I've just recently started playing the game and while I'm enjoying aspects the environments seem to be rather dull. At times I feel as though I'm just flying around a series of empty interconnected rooms without interest or diversity. Still haven't started my empire and I...

The WiiU controller actually looks pretty slick to me. A touchscreen can actually add to gameplay & convenience without being a gimmick as the DS demonstrates.

Oh seriously, Cryengine 2 is unoptimized as hell. I'm in the same boat as you are.

Lol @ the people downvoting him. Crysis 1 unlike Crysis 2 was made for the PC so it doesn't exactly have many compromises in regards to draw distance detail etc. The game is going to have to be downgraded significantly visually to run on consoles and it will most likely look worse than Crysis 2 considering it wasn't consolized in the first place.

Your consoles are old tech, guys. They're simply not that powerful that Crysis is going to get a nice shiny port job with...

Hurray. More shooters. We can never have enough shooters, right? Sorry, I will take my adventure games, RPG's and platformers over another shooter any day considering this entire gen has been criminally over saturated by shooters.

Uh, it makes perfect sense within the context of the game seeing as how the Scoia'tal are labeled as terrorists.

Didn't know that we can't criticize games unless we're a developer ourselves. A morality system doesn't sound that exciting, to be honest. They're rarely executed very well.

5367d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Agreed. I'd rather them focus on making solid JRPG's instead of trying to copy and appeal to the western market. We need more diversity in the industry, not different genres merging together to create a generic boring mediocre blob catering to the lowest common denominator.

Good advice, thugbob. Sold my 360 the day of their E3 conference. Lets hope that next gen with the Wii U and PS4 etc bring 90s level diversity to the industry as I've become increasingly jaded this gen with its constant barrage of generic mediocre shooters.

5368d ago 33 agree9 disagreeView comment

Hahaha. My thoughts exactly. It's a story driven game, why would you want to be distracted by a bunch of obnoxious idiots blaring god knows what over the mic?

I really would like Gundam Senki over here. It will never happen, though.

Nice Yang Wenli avatar, by the way.

I wouldn't throw away all hope. At least not yet, B1553r. That Zelda tech demo looked rather impressive to my eyes, and while not completely mind-blowing I hear it runs in 1080p. If that's true I'd suspect it is a significant leap from the ps360 and while obviously the new consoles from sony and microsoft will most likely outclass the WiiU I'm content with something that's at least a step up from this gen.

Also the bird demo was impressive enough, and acco...

Uh, am I the only one that actually finds this reassuring? The games graphics didn't look all that stunning to me so the fact that it's running on ps360 seems great. Means the WiiU may be significantly more powerful than the PS360 instead of merely on the same level.
