If you're referring to horse power than you may want to follow the rumors a little bit more. It's speculated to have very adequate internals that would constitute it being called a generational leap.

You guys have played a Space Sim before, right? I take it you know how complex the controls are and how gamepads would have a shortage of input options to control such a title. Therefor, if it were to be made as a console game they would have to dumb it down so that they wouldn't require such input.

Uhh.. Shogun 2 and The Witcher 2 which came out earlier this year are two games that will utilize the power effectively.
Not to mention we have ARMA 3, possibly an absurd amount of graphics mods for Skyrim, and BF 3 to give us even more. I know there's more graphical intensive games coming out also but I can't remember the names.
All in all I'd say my 6950 has its work cut out for it.
The graphics actually look very good for a Wii game from what I've seen. To be honest due to the splendid art style it looks significantly more appealing than a lot of PS360 games in my opinion.
I haven't played Xenoblade yet so I won't comment on if Lost Odyssey is better or not.
However I would like to agree that Lost Odyssey was one of the most special and underrated games this generation. It absolutely has one of the most touching stories I've encountered, video games or otherwise.
After playing Medieval 2: Stainless Steel & Empire for hundreds of hours I find I am seriously wanting more depth to the franchise. The battles have become rather predictable & boring at this point and Creative Assembly doesn't seem to have tried to do anything drastic to rectify it.
I'd like to have the unit cap removed, to be honest. Or at the very least improve upon the Kingdoms reinforcement system. I know 20 units is hard enough to manage by itself but it...
There's no excuse for this. The 3DS can output graphics much better than this. It's just a lazy port & nothing more.
Look at RE: Revelations, Kid Icarus, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart. They're leagues ahead of this.
The graphics are pretty slick. I'm a bit concerned about how they're going to handle it with only one analogue, though. Perhaps gyro/touchscreen? We'll see.
In any case we will be provided with a top tier soundtrack so I'm looking forward to this.

Yes, but you have to keep in mind that when developing for a specific piece of hardware you can get much more out of it. PC games have to support a VERY wide range of different GPU's and therefor cannot be optimized and take full advantage of the GPU.
12 gigs ram is not going to make much a difference in today's games, either. Most games are also not CPU dependent but rather GPU dependent.
Most games on the PS3 are not 1080p 60 FPS apart from Wipeout HD, correct?
The 4800 GPU's are actually pretty impressive. It would constitute a full generational leap over the PS360's GPU's.
