Kotor 2, not as good as the original? I beg to differ. I found the game to much more enjoyable. I particularly found the story to be a large improvement over the first one (even though it was unfinished but that was because of LA). Give Obsidian a proper budget and development time and they will shine. Also I haven't come across all that many bugs in NV, and as I remember Fallout 3 was pretty buggy also.
And Obsidian games actually have good writing.

Actually it's generally the opposite.
They didn't even really try to capture the kotor spirit or appeal to kotor fans at all in my opinion. With their silly art style and the 'heroic' proportions I feel rather alienated. Can't believe they're ruining pretty much any chance of kotor 3 by resolving Revan in a crappy MMO quest chain/dungeon.

Less detail on units, smaller battles etc. It would have to be gimped horribly, and that would be such a shame considering Total War is one of the most engrossing and fun experiences in games I've ever had (I've dumped 300 hours into Empire unmodded alone. Who knows how many I've spent playing Medieval 2 Stainless Steel).

OT: Yes, Japanese animation does seem to have a higher quality to American animation. Maybe it's because animation here seems to be relegated primarily to child cartoons or adult humor animations. Whereas in Japan they don't seem to relegate the medium to those two options.
