This hasn’t been a problem since unreal 3.
Sonys single player is rock solid tho. They consistently put out the best single player games every year.
I mean they have tons of stuff on the horizon. The problem is none of it is here now. Redfall, Starfield, Indiana jones, gears 6, perfect dark, hell blade, forza, fable, everwild, the list goes on and on. But these games have been coming for what feels like forever.
You know there is a huge intersection in between the souls fans and ff fans right.
@Raidernation, bro what the hell are you on about? Yes, 50/50 is the end goal. Especially considering 50 percent of the world is female. No we’re not going to get there overnight no one realistically expects that to happen. Stop getting all tilted because you’re assuming my comment means I believe we should inorganically shoehorn female protagonist in every role or because you think I support making diversity quotas. You assuming I’m saying that says more about you then it does about me.
@NecrumOddBoy no one is saying there is no female representation. Hell no one is saying the situation isn’t improving. The reality is that it is improving . But to sit here and act like you didn’t just name the majority of games with a female protagonist in the last 5 years is expectedly disingenuous of you.
To the disagrees go ahead and keep ‘em coming I’ll wear them like a badge of honor.
Sadly true
No there’s not enough strong women leads
I’m not against a female protagonist. There is a lot of ground to explore from that perspective. However I am against a female protagonist for the sake of having a female protagonist. I’m also against a male protagonist for the sake of a male protagonist.
Yea meanwhile Sony is forcing naughty dog to remake a game that came out less than ten years ago.
In this instance they’ve definitely only lost sales
This ire to was jam packed with new announcements. We’re any of them on the level of vote or Metroid prime 4? No. But to say this direct misses the mark is idiotic. Especially when we know that e3 direct is gonna be massive.
He’s clearly being sarcastic
The thing is platinum will try even if babylons fall fails. The reality is this game is being made on squares dime. And if it doesn’t live up to the hype, platinum will simply be able to use it as a learning experience in their next endeavor.
With that being said I don’t believe live service makes sense for platinum.
As long as the game has a focus on being fun and the live service aspect of it doesn’t get in the way or take away from the enjoyment of the game I see no real issue.
My issue is games like avengers that have no business following a live service model. It’s when companies try to take an established game and wrap it around a live service model that these games start to suffer.
Lol u know us Americans, indoctrinated into believing we’re the free-eat greatest nation on this planet
To be fair ign is one of the outlets that gave cyberpunk a glowing review at launch
The reality is this how corporations operate and how they have operated for a long time. The only real difference between Sony and Microsoft is that Microsoft has much more money. Otherwise I promise you Sony would have been purchasing publishers by the boatload long ago.
You are correct. I used the incorrect your. As you say I should have used you’re.
I hope you can learn from my example how to take criticism.
Using unreal makes hiring devs easier. Potentially not having to learn the intricacies of a whole new engine will likely lead to a better optimized end product.
As for the visual similarities, it’s like you said this hasn’t been an issue since unreal 3 and it’s not because unreal isn’t widely used but rather because epic heard this criticism and made it easier for devs to make their games look and play differently.
For the most part though I don’t disagr...
