I thought the rumored spring launch was a bit too early. Sony didn't seem to have too much together at the E3 event. They had a prototype but that was about it.
They are launching their motion controller world wide in Autumn 2010, about 2 weeks after Microsoft announced Natal for Holiday 2010. There was a rumor I read today that 'Arc' could be the name for the new controller. Can't say I'm a big fan of that, but hey, it's just a rumor.
I think Natal will be a bigger ...
Straight from the mouth of a person who spews bullshit. At least he is good at grabbing attention with absurd titles.
I'm looking forward to both titles, but I don't think one was delayed because of the other. Both will be quality games and are totally different experiences.
With Zune Marketplace, Netflix, Sky, IPTV, etc. It wouldn't put it past them.
I think we're going to ass App like features on the 360. Netflix App, Facebook App, Twitter App, Zune App, Sky App, Last.FM App, etc. If this trend continues, I think what we will see next is a YouTube App.
This article is horribly written. Talk about pot calling kettle with being bias.
I agree. I am looking forward to playing this. I'm going to GameFly it first, and if I love it, I'll buy it.
I was talking about the Splinter Cell: Conviction site. When this story first broke the site still said 02/23/10. I know the delay is true.
Way to miss the point.
Splinter Cell: Conviction was scheduled to come out the day before my birthday, perfect for a present. I don't see it being delayed for quality issues, rather than Ubisoft trying to place its pawns correctly to get the most money out of each situation.
This is a bummer though, I don't want to believe it. As of yet the official site and other gaming sites (i.e. GameStop) have not updated the new release date.
Microsoft has been constantly updating their system both software and hardware wise. With things like NXE and Natal who knows. The system is nothing like it was when it was first launched, it has grow a lot.
I'm sure it has awhile. I don't think we need another generation of consoles just yet, or for awhile. I'm content with what we have now.
I wouldn't want to game without either one this year. It is bound we're going to hear a handful of new exclusives from both Microsoft and Sony before the end of the year, that makes me happy. There's more to come :)
I'm glad to see Mass Effect 2 up there, should do close to 1 million sales in first week. Preorders don't really determine a lot of game's success though. Mario Galaxy 2 is way down on that list but will probably outsell most, if not all of those games on there. Best of luck to all the games. Especially SC:C. :)
At first I did not have much interest, but now I might try this out. What changed my mind was that the games would expand into the 8 and 16 bit era, you can virtually navigate with your avatar or via a menu if you don't like the "Home" feel. I thought that was pretty cool.
I wonder if there this will be put into the Arcade slot on XBL to download like any other XBLA title, or if it will be in something like the "Community" channel.
These scans confirm the leaks a couple of months ago were real shots of Halo: Reach.
I suppose. They did give a launch window though, I think that is what they were trying to show. We probably wont see Natal in big action until Microsoft Gamefest on Feb 10th. http://www.microsoftgamefes...
If not then, definitely E3. Which is where Microsoft tends to hold up everything until.
It's not a video game event, it's a technology event. They were mainly showing off the technology that powers Natal, Xbox LIVE, etc. The Xbox segment was just a small portion of their keynote. They were nice enough to include actual video game related news when they really don't need to.
There would obviously be a lot more if Gold did not cost money. On top of that, it's a big thing on PSN to have multiple accounts. It happens on XBL as well, but seems to be a bigger thing on PSN.
Looks like it could be really trippy!
;)
Considering they started development on this game after Halo 3 that's not bad. They had 2 years of actually putting it together, and 1 more year until it is launched for polish. This could end up being a real gem in the Halo franchise.
It is Bungie's last Halo game on the 360 and one would think they would want to go out with a bang. Despite whatever O.D.S.T. was, I think this will be a hit both critically and sales wise.
Best of luck Bungie, can't wait to play the f...
I thought this was the year of the PS3 for sure. Sony really stepped it up with the games, the hardware and updating its online services. I own both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and this was a better year for the PS3. 2007 and 2008 were definitely stronger on the 360 side, but this year was the PS3's turn.
2010 is looking up to be probably one of the best years in gaming history. Both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 have amazing line ups and you just know there is more to be annou...
The Razr was such a crappy phone, I never understood the hype about that phone. The iPhone hype was well deserved though.
In response to the Xbox 360 being on that list, which I'm is the only thing anyone is going to comment on this article, it is fine being on that list. I remember before the launch of the 360 a lot of people were saying it was going to fail like the Dreamcast, the PS3 was going to be the top of the market and the Wii would be either 2nd or last. The 360 surpris...
That probably means Microsoft Game Fest in early Feb. They will probably give us a date there a long with some information on collectors edition of some sort. I would also expect a new trailer or video for Fable III at this time.
