Actually they could have stayed casual. These mature rated games might scare away the family friendly casual gamers from buying the system.
Based on what I see, is the Nintendo U will be only good for the Nintendo 1st party games. I'm gonna play the majority of multiplats on PS3/360. Actually I'm not gonna buy the Nintendo U at all!
And WiiU is coming 2012, so don't expect to play all the 2011 multiplatform games like Arkam City until 2013. The online interface is gonna have the same hiccups just like like the PS3 early on.

The press conference means everything. As gamers we are savvy to know what we saw will turn out good enough. Everybody here on N4G knows games. If you win Day 1 you have won E3. I don't have to play Uncharted 3 to know that the graphics are top notch and game is amazing. I don't have to play Far Cry 3 to know it's gonna be same old hide/shoot gameplay. I mean... it's a good feature but is it worth the price? Systems traditionally sell new controllers at launch for $60 and when you have a screen that's gotta drive up the price.
I can give you two good reasons. Third party developers will be more inclined to make PSV games because they don't have to compete with Nintendo 1st party games. The system is more flexible for game development with a touch screen and two sticks.
Essentially you have a slightly weaker version of the 360 and PS3 in a handheld. The online capabilities and the two sticks are very attractive to developers especially with the game sales and popularity of FPS and TPS games...
Microsoft has failed for the third year in a row for the true gamer. The true gamer is the hardcore gamer that likes to play new experiences and not the same multi platform games every year.
In 2009 it was a drought year for the 360. In 2010 they had exclusives like Alan Wake and Splinter Cell but they were only above average games. And 2011 so far it has been a drought.

PSV will surely take atleast 45% of the hardware market share against 3DS. Game sales will be atleast at 60% because of replay value. All 3DS has going for them is name brand and 1st party exclusives.
I like Sly better than Infamous as opposed to Uncharted>Jak and Resistance>Ratchet. The art style in Sly is just amazing.
The one they showed at the conference made it seem like a FPS if I didn't know any better. The freaking game is a RTS-TPS with open world multiplayer map with vehicles and planes. It's a revolutionary game that other developers will copy just like MW1 and Uncharted2.
The price is too cheap. I was ready to pay $499.99 and camp out for this machine. They should raise the price so I can be the only kid on the block with the PSV and then I can brag about it.
Sony didn't do anything wrong. They filled in as much content as they could and stayed professional about it. Any knucklehead can play 30 minutes of Uncharted 3, 30 minutes of Last Guardian, and 30 minutes of Agent. It's a press conference, not a demo station. You can tell Sony had too many things to say in the 90 minutes and they had to rush it. Only one thing they messed up on is they didn't do Starhawk any justice.
For $39.99 or wishful thinking, $29.99?
They should have just one sku. Every PSV owner should have 3G capabilities.
I'm gonna buy PSV no matter how much it costs. The folks in Redmond must be scrambling to get a portable system out right now.

Guess what... I can do this with the PSV/PS3 combonation this fall, and I also have PS Move/PS Eye combo too. Have fun waiting until next year to do the samething.
