I'm sure it's very accurate when replicating a mouse but I can't get over my fear of little trackpads. I hate having to do that repeated scratch motion to slowly angle a cursor where I want it with a small laptop trackpad. I know it can also be set to move like a joystick but then why not use a joystick.

Wow, nice design. Now I can play genuine AAA titles while being audited for Thetans.

Well that's ....something. IF we ever resolve the cliffhanger we left you with two generations ago we will do it nicely. Half-life 2 is still my favourite game of all time but at this point I just can't muster the enthusiasm for Half-life 3. When I think of it I just feel angry about how long they left us waiting and how cute they think they're being by keeping us completely in the dark.

They really really need to move this to next gen consoles. I'm keeping my PS3 and will still be gaming on it by the end of the year but I imagine by March it'll be packed away somewhere and will seem like too much of a chore to set up for one game with all these fancy new games coming out for my new console. It looks great but I mean, business wise, they're really gonna be shooting themselves in the foot because I really doubt I'm the only one who'll have pretty much fully...

I definitely preferred the Medieval setting of the first game to any that have come since. I just don't think it was well developed as a game. If it was as well developed as the second game in terms of game play I think it would have been great. If it would also have gotten rid of the cheesy sci-fi futuristic angle and replaced the fighting system with something more like Arkham asylum I think it could've been one of the best games ever made.

Dear Amazon,

Please do not send me a PS4 and a 90-inch screen TV. I just do not have the time to be bothering with any of them.

Do we still need twice the size of the game free space just to install it? Because even on my PS3 there have been games that I've had to wipe a ton of stuff off my HD just to get them to install.

All I know is something's really going on at IGN recently. Scroll through their recent videos on YouTube and it'll be impossible to deny they're intentionally going after Sony hard. Just about every video that isn't a review or preview of some specific game is a Sony slam video.

I do prefer Sony as a company but you can check my comments to see I'm not a rabid fanboy that can't handle criticism of Sony. I have criticised them myself a lot recently but the...

Wow, the number of hours people have played Call of duty is greater than the number of hours humans have existed. Even as a non-fan I have to admit that's impressive.

Two years? Dammit, time. What did I tell you about going so fast??

Sadly I apparently only preordered in time to catch the second wave of consoles they're sending out so I have no idea when my day one will even be. I figured I wouldn't care as I still have a ton of ps3 games to play but as it draws closer I'm starting to feel that anxiousness. Not to mention I'm in the UK so even if I got the first copy sold that's after two weeks of watching you damned lucky yanks enjoy the thing first.

Since a PC is upgradable it's always by definition gonna be the most powerful, advanced gaming system you can get your hands on. Still, games that fully exploit this power are always going to be limited because developers don't want to go sweating and straining to create an insanely impressive game that only a handful of true obsessive PC heads can run. We're probably going to see much more advancement in terms of actual games on next gen consoles because the devs know that any ga...

When I was a videogame nerd who listened to 80's metal back in highschool sometime in the late 90's I never would've guessed in my wildest dreams that years from then people would be pretending to be fans of 80's metal and videogames to try to fit in with the cool crowd. Still it's weird how this has become the thing to be and I'm somehow still not cool.

The new Drive club footage pretty much proves this. They must have had a ton of stuff they knew they could add but didnt want to risk anything going wrong so close to release because the new footage looks so much better than anything we've seen before and they pretty much only just announced the delay.

Having said that there are two things about these delays that disturb me.
1) Games like Contrast (which will apparently replace Drive club as a free PS+ launch title...

The disappearing bodies thing had been bugging me too only for me it's not necessarily the fact that they disappear but how they do it, they just fade out a second after dying. I just think something as small as having Goblins disappear in a little puff of magical smoke and mech enemies going in a tiny explosion would just make it look that much nicer.

I like a lot of what I see in Knack but its the little things like that that are standing out to me. The enemies that just d...

So is it called Ghosts because the enemies float in the air for a second or two after dying half the time or simply because it looks like a haunting relic of the past that should by all natural law be dead and buried?

I'm so glad they made the right decision in the end. I was saying it here for weeks before the controller was actually released that my biggest fear for these new systems would be a screen on the pad. When I play I tend to turn out all the lights and even cover up any lights on stuff like the wireless hub in my living room, just so I can be fully immersed in the world the game is taking me to, having some little screen right under my eyes while playing would have been the worst most distr...

Final fantasy 6 for me. I sometimes still just put on Terra's theme to listen to. I would put on the music from the Opera scene too but I don't need to make myself cry like that when I have things to do.

Believe me I don't absolutely trust Sony not to screw us all over either. I just think it's been proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Sony's business model in recent years has been based on building a good relationship with core gamers and trying to establish themselves as the trustworthy choice for the gamer interested in new interesting experiences.

I also believe it's been proven that Microsoft's business model in recent years has been based around domi...
