Is this a "rebadged" and/or enhanced version of The Golf Club 2019 as was claimed elsewhere? Or is it a new game/engine? Not buying at the moment because of the pricing strategy but will probably pick up later when price drops on the new consoles (if I manage to get one - or indeed they get priced and released! 🙃)...

A bad bad mistake Logitech. A lot of people who buy wheels will be multi-platform and you to want them to fork out £600-700 on two wheels? Insane. Love the wheels (and no fan of the others) but I'm not paying that much to support next gen (alongside new consoles and controllers, maybe new external hard drives).

The overpriced privilege of playing on two generations of console; when others have supported both.
I know R* did it for GTAV (and may be doing it again) but I think 2K will lose sales on their current sport releases because of it. I was going to have a look into this but I'll sit it out now.
It's great that nobody's forcing you to play it then. And that those who do, can enjoy it to the limits of their own expectations...

Assume it will be the same with their golf offering. I'll sit both of these out, then. Their NBA has deviated over last 3 years to money spinning rather than the player experience...

Played Dirt Showdown recently on XBX with a couple of friends locally. And old as it looks now, it was an entertaining thrash for the evening...

No...the criticism kicked in without people playing the game.
It hasn't had the same impact on me as the first. By no means perfect in my opinion; but still a fantastic game and I'd probably lavish an 8.5 or 9 on it regardless.

Only time will tell if Microsoft or Sony made the right choice. If one of them starts overheating or has reliability issues...the other will win by not being shot down (literally) in flames. I can ram the most powerful PC components into a small bespoke box but how the cooling works would be fundamental.
Let's see what the next gen battle looks like when it happens. Looking forward to both...

I see the death of Metacritic and similar services. Couldn't give a sht what people say about games on any platform - won't sway my opinion. Sadly...there are GENUINE comments of concern (and others of praise) on there. But mixed with the bias and preconceived dribble, the whole thing loses its point of existence. "Wood for the trees" scenario.
I'll just carry on playing games I want to play on any platform...

Not a terrible thing as such, just not an all new IP indicated by the title; a 'sequel' under a new name...
