As I said above, 'When I used to play BO, Barebones was always dead.. which meant being put in matches with people on the other side of the world = pointless.' It seems COD players are too set in their ways to try game modes that remove their crutches.

One of the reasons I stopped playing it many months ago. Lag/Hit detection was outrageous in Black Ops.
funny, there are usually 10 people minimum online on my xbox during the day, and shockingly every person on my friends list is someone i know in real life :o the moral of the story.. get a life and get some friends, preferably ones who like playing games.

I'm a 27 year old 'grown up', and my friends are in their 20s... we use party chat all the time.
Text is slow and laborious, and its useful to be able to talk before and after playing a game.
Its the perfect way to hang out with friends who live a long distance away. Cell phones cost and are more suited to 1 on 1 convos.

Exactly. Anyone with even half a clue wasn't surprised by any of this. There's been a cloud of resentment and extreme unhappiness hanging over the UK for many many years. Over the past couple of generations morals have slowly eroded away and all we've done is laugh as we watch Jeremy Kyle.
