Sony has a great name recogniction in video games. Most people just think that playstation means video game system. they still call xbox's playstations. PS2 is the most dominant console ever made. And it has coat tails it's aura will transfer tpo the PS3. Now the hard part for people to believe the the 360 was competing against the ps2 for a long time remember the ps2 outsold the 360 for little over a year. It had a lower price and more games. Sony paid for the commercial. Wal-Mart wins Sony wins. This is a standard relationship in marketing. And why wouldn't Wal-Mart want to sell PS3's everyone they sell gives them more money. It isn't about preference or loyalty is is about business. And this commercial is good business.
Unlike last generation this one looks like it will be stellar with such a diverse range of games to play on the 360.

I want consoles to improve every five to seven years.. Would the PS3 be out now if not for MS. And the Wii would be dead against the PS2 if that was the only console. Why buy that when all the games would be on that one console.

The cell is a great piece of hardware, but Sony intended to use two of them in the PS3. And IBM designed the cell with toshiba and sony. So three cooks each wanting the chip to different things. Why does one man's opinion cause so much hatred from PS3 lovers. It is never about the PS3 when it is an 360 exclusive game. Same goes for PS3 when they have exclusives. For some reason you guys must hate each other. Question is why? If Mass Effect is game of the year what does that do to the PS3? Not a damn thing. It is a very fun game and it looks gorgeous in 1080p. The random fights are a little much, but anyone who likes a 2D fighter this is a must have.
It is that the 360 actually sold as well as the PS3 for one week showing that the system isn't dead there. That is all this is about. The 360 will not out sell Japanese consoles in Japan overall. It just shows that the install base can grow at a better rate in Japan.

The movie didn't dumb it down for the ending. The action was awesome. If there is a sequel I will be there on opening day. As for Roger Egbert remember he wrote Valley of the Dolls a big piece of trash if I ever saw one. And just maybe he is not equipped to understand video games.
