I am truly sick of the FPS genre. Enough is enough.

On that note, I'm sure I will pick up this on release...but it'll probably be the only FPS I buy - or even rent - all year.

Valve is not getting a penny from me for this incredibly shameless sequel. There's no reason for a L4D2 already. An expansion, sure, but a full-priced sequel? No thank you.

No argument here. I seriously don't understand their pricing theories.

Not to mention I refuse to buy a PSP Go! unless there's a way I can play my already-purchased legitimate UMD's on it. I realize OMG IT'S FOR NEWCOMERS NOT FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE A PSP!!!11 but come on, there should be a way to port my games if I want to have the latest PSP design.

A "few bucks"? Are you kidding? Microsoft was in a tough place regarding their format choice. They wanted to launch before Sony to gain a tactical advantage, and clearly that is proving to have been the correct choice. Given that the PS3 was $500-600 on release - a YEAR later - almost entirely because of the cost of HD media technology, how much do you think the 360 would've cost if they'd included an HD media drive a year before that? $600 at a minimum. That price would've bee...

This is what impressed me most:

"On walking into the room, it’s immediately obvious that the system picks up Tsunoda’s body movements accurately with its stock but even lighting. And, challenged by Mattrick, Tsunoda dims the lights to the level of a dark but not pitch-black room, and returns to playing Ricochet with no drop in precision.

A topic only touched upon during Microsoft’s press briefing, Tsunoda explains that this was possible due to the way in which P...

Poor PS3 fan has no concept of reality.

Either that, or he's stuck in 2007. Either way, same ending.

There are plenty of reasons to get a 360 instead of just "upgrading your PC".

1. Price. 360 is cheaper, unless you already have a top of the line PC and are just upgrading your video card.

2. Local multiplayer. Can you play 4 player Rock Band on your PC? What about Castle Crashers? Scene It? Anything at all? That social aspect matters to a lot of people. Like me.

3. Convenience. I just got the Sims 3 for the PC. It was quite entertainin...

Conviction will come to the PS3 around the same time MGS4 makes its way to the 360.

If any game finally convinces me to get a PS3, this will be the one.

Damn you, Kratos.

I hope there's a PS3/GoW3 bundle. That would be fantastic.

Something people seem to be forgetting about the "Motion Wars":

Why does anyone have to "win"? Oh right, because controversial headlines = webpage hits = $$$.

Sony and MS both did pretty well. Nintendo was meh. As for which "motion capture technology" was the best? I'll wait for the games before I make that call. Natal has the most potential, but it could also be the biggest failure.

Sadly, the Wii Motion Plus might be the least-impressive, but will also go on to sell the most. Why? Because it's a safer...

The "problem with 360 owners?" Go to hell, and take your over-generalizing statements with you.

God forbid some of us enjoy AAA games that also happen to be on "the other" console. I don't care if CoD4 is on the PS3 or the PC or the Wii or the PSP or the freaking Commodore 64, as long as it's as fun as it looks and sounds on the 360.

Exclusives are overrated. Being an exclusive does not make something *good*. There's only franchise I really wa...

In shocking news, everyone at N4G thinks Sony won E3.

Also, the sky is blue, and grass is green.

Is it really so unreasonable for people to expect such an option? I can guarantee this will prevent me from even considering a PSP Go, unless it gets hacked so I can move my old games on there.

Of the three motion-sensing additions (Wii Motion Plus, Natal, PS Motion) coming out, Project Natal is easily the most ambitious of the three...but that almost means it's the most likely to fail. Still, I am fascinated to see what talented developers will do with all of them. In the end, that's all that really matters.

@1.10:

To be fair, the $200 is purely speculation at this point. I would be surprised if they try to price it above $99, but anything is possible wi...

I love the overall appearance, but I'm not sure I like the placement of the D-Pad and analog stick. Should they really be so close together?

Yeah, that was my thought as well. They're crazy if they expect me to "upgrade" without the ability to play my old games.

There is a big difference between watching it in the PS3's browser and actually having it integrated into the Dashboard ala Netflix. For one thing, HD versions of shows might be available.

@2.2

You are right. There have certainly been no PS3 owners in recent Hulu threads discussing the pain of trying to watch Hulu in the PS3's browser. People never discuss slowness, crashing, etc. It is smooth and perfect.

"That is the only problem with using the...

You know, it's been how many years, and it's still weird to me to see a Sega-published game reviewed in Nintendo Power. I guess I'll never forget the SNES vs. Genesis console war. This generation ain't got nothin' on that. Just lucky there was little access to the internet back then.
