I absolutely adore the original game - and its DS remake - but I'll wait and see if there's some sort of "package" with all of the add-ons before I dive into this.
I really like the concept behind Natal, and I HOPE it succeeds.
That said, it probably won't. Expensive post-release add-ons rarely fair well, and developers will be unlikely to do much besides add Natal "support" to a game. Natal-exclusive games will be few and far between, as it immediately limits the potential customers to a subset of those who own a 360. Why make a game with a million potential customers when you can make a game with 25 million potential custom...
Calling any console "maxed out" is ridiculous. The best developers are incredibly creative, and will always find clever solutions around the hardware limitations of ANY platform.
Why do you think PS2 games looked better than XBox and Gamecube games, despite the PS2 having the weakest hardware of the three? The PS2's huge userbase inspired developers to work around the hardware and squeeze out every ounce of power. I'm not sure it was ever really "maxed out&quo...
Basically, yes. But, the N4G Fanboy Wars must continue, and Ghostbusters is the latest battleground for this epic conflict.
Because, as we all know, the superiority of one multiplatform game on either console can single-handidly turn the tide of the entire console war.
Why do people keep misuing the term "4-Dimensional"?
This looks cool, don't get me wrong, but the forth dimension is TIME. Not...whatever this shows. The closest we'll get to "four dimensional gaming" is environments that change over time naturally, due to conditions in the game (as in the PS3 demo), or perhaps games like Harvest Moon where the game continues whether or not you're playing.
Oops, I forgot one of the N4G Commandments:
1. Thou shalt not state thine own personal opinion of a game, if that opinion doth differ from those of the Fanboy Armies. If thou doth challenge them, thine bubbles shall they take.
Amen.
How are you even still allowed in the Open Zone?
I stopped caring about Metal Gear Solid's plot around the time of MGS2. MGS1 was silly in some ways, sure, but it was an entertaining story that was told fairly well.
I'm not going to pretend I've played MGS3 or 4, so I won't comment on those specific stories (beyond what I've read on Wikipeda), but it seems to me like MGS fanboys mistake confusing, convoluted plotlines as being "deep". If you don't lik...
What if a "true fan" of Ghostbusters doesn't own a PS3? Or prefers the 360's controller?
Don't be a tool.
Man, something like Fight Night would be fantastic.

If you want to see someone playing Burnout with Natal AND see the screen, just go here:

If you don't care about Natal, don't post in the news threads about it. What a fascinating concept. Ignoring something you don't like.
I also find it fascinating you don...
Why not just browse your friends-list from the old-style blades that come up when you press the Guide button? That should eliminate the headache of scrolling through so many Avatars.
The key difference between the 360 OS and the PS3 OS is the integration with the online system.
Its clear from as soon as you turn on the 360 that the OS is directly and seamlessly tied to XBox Live, so that you can quickly find out about new demos, XBLA titles, online events, and other such things. The PS3 XMB does not have the same sort of integration with PSN - you have to find and select the PS Store as an entirely separate option in the XMB.
For instance, if yo...
Wow. How is that at all on-topic? What does the 360 have to do with the PSP? Does every single article on this site have to boil down to Sony vs. Microsoft for you people?
If you say so. I love my iPhone, but I hate Apple as a company.

Microsoft is, but Sony isn't?
Please explain.
Also, "hardcores" and "casuals" mixed quite well with the PS2, unless you actually think the 120 million PS2's sold all went to "hardcore" gamers.
I'm guessing you haven't actually read the impressions posted regarding Burnout and other games using Natal, and are basing your opinion solely on the E3 presentation and what random PS3 fanboy-run "news" sites are saying. It's a shame - you should really broaden your horizons and stop being so close-minded.

I am sick of FPS games, but CoD4 was fantastic enough that the potential quality of the sequel overrides my desire to avoid the genre.
Come on, seriously? Do you think Sony's plans don't revolve entirely around competing with Microsoft and Nintendo? Sony had the advantage going into this generation after dominating the previous two console generations. They could cruise on the PS2 profits for awhile while the PS3's price dropped. Microsoft could not afford that luxury if they wanted to compete. If the 360 had released at the same time as the PS3, with an HD media drive, at a $400-600 price point...we wouldn't be discuss...
So has the SDF convinced themselves that if they say "EyeToy ripoff" often enough, someone might actually believe it?

I love Colbert, even (sometimes especially) when he mocks things I like. Just had to make sure that was clear.
