It's... over... gaming as we know will be dead, i-zealots will proclaim the ipad 3 the third coming of god (second being the iphone) and the best gaming system ever created... you can't go againt millions of zealots, so get used to it... :(
No BC will be a total fail, this gen pushed psn/live games + dlc and all that, PS3 BC cannot be avoided this time, PS4 should have it...

Does it really matter when you see people enjoying them? I mean, people pay for those pos games and play the heck out of them, what is the bad thing about that?

Some people act like if it's not day one buy, it's no buy at all, consoles can be released as soon as possible, if people don't want to buy them or don't have them, they can wait, consoles are not leaving the market...
No if you take into account that Vita is in the market for 2 months in Japan already...
Decent at best, the device was released in Japan 2 months ago, 8 weeks in the market and it barely sold 1.2m and we don't know if they're shipped or sold numbers, not looking good, next week sales will drop of a cliff...
Will answer with another question, does it have appealing games that will make people buy it?

Eh... don't want to burst your bubble, but that's not gonna happen, it has problems in the land of handheld gaming and outside Japan, handhelds are not as popular as home consoles, so I don't see Vita being as big as PS2, heck probably will never reach the sales of the PSP...

Wii-U and 3DS are backed by Nintendo franchises, the only thing that saved the 3DS was that and the price drop, now the Vita is another thing, it doesn't have a chance in this day and age...
PS4 better has loads of games on launch day if there is no BC for it, the fact that I'll not be able to play GT5 annoys me the most, GT6 on launch day!
Honestly, if they don't have a great launch lineup, I'll not buy a damn!
