"Wide range?" All I saw was five headsets. So what, they're including HDMI cables in their tally? Whoopdy-doo. If that's the case, "RadioShack stocks new range of PS4 accessories" as well.
I was hoping for something more like this for the PS4:

...or at least some stylish DS4 charging stations. ...
Um, the Xbone *does* play all it's games from the hard drive. Blu-Ray games included.
"Announcing a console without showing the console? That's one way to do it." (Paraphrasing)
Sound familiar? Get over yourself.
"We'll keep doing the same thing we've always done with used/disc games" = "low blow?" Don't think so. MS did that one entirely to themselves.
The "sharing" video was maybe a bit of a low blow, but in good humor, and again, MS set themselves up for it. But really, the MS DRM plans were themselves a low blow to consumers. Can calling it out in turn really be considered a "low blow?"
"(MS deal) start with $300"
"(no deal) start with $400"
Damn, apparently MS is taking your money before you even buy anything from them!
And what's stopping someone that starts with $300 from selling their PS3 (probably for more than $100) and getting a PS4?
But if you've got PS+ and you keep your PS3, you'll also be getting well over $100 in free games.
December & January IGC games for PS3:
Grid 2: $30 ($30 Amazon)
Borderlands 2: $30 ($16 Amazon)
Dyad: $15
DMC: $40 ($27 Amazon)
Bioshock Infinite: $40 ($27 Amazon)
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons: $15
Two months = over $100 in games
So save $100 on the PS4, save $10 on PS+ over XBL...

I believe they did actually say the headphone update would come in January.
I think bringing the memory cards down to Earth would go a long way for them. I've got no problem dropping $200 for a Vita (2000 model, pls), but the thought of dropping another $100 on a memory card (gotta get the biggest) is NOT appealing.
If they'd hurry up and release the 2000 model stateside, they'd have my money. I really want one for Remote Play and my PS+ Vita backlog, but I'm holding out for a 2000. Unfortunately, I don't want the swapped X and O buttons from a Japanese import, and a UK import would cost even more than one from Japan!
@Edsword: Nah... worse than trading an ounce of gold for an ounce of fiat Federal Reserve notes. ;-)
(well, anything below $50 notes, at least... an ounce of $50s would be about right)

Why does the PS3 need to be working if they're just going to "recycle" it?
Besides, if you've got PS+, you'll probably get more than $100 of value out of that just in the next two or three months. I haven't paid for a PS3 game since TLoU*, and I've no shortage of stuff to play (*disclaimer: I did drop $5 this week for "Ethan: Meteor Hunter" on PS+ discount, but that was 100% purely because my 3-yr-old son's name is Ethan).
Missed the most obvious reason to keep your PS3:
PS+
'Nuff said.
"you get much less bang for the buck if you are a PS4 console owner without a PS3 or Vita"
And yet you still get more bang for your buck than if you're an XBL Gold member with only an Xbone.
And of course, if you DO have a PS3, well... I don't think any more needs to be said.
Now I'm just itching waiting for the Vita 2000 to be released in the west so I can put that huge PS+ Vita backlog to use (and the Remote Play).
My mistake, looks like Basement Crawl isn't announced for Plus right now. Outlast is due for Feb 4th, though.
Costco seems to be one place people are regularly seeing PS4s.
Correction: "all the games PS3 is *getting.*"
Been enjoying DmC myself.
And of course Don't Starve (already got Resogun platinum, looking forward to DLC)
Also looking forward to Basement Crawl. Isn't that coming next week or something? When is Outlast supposed to come down?
Shipments of 7? Kind of odd, since they're packed 3 to a shipping box. I wonder if they unpack them at the distribution center.
There's console wars, and then there's tripe like this.
@Codey: Sometimes there are general updates to Blu-Ray standards. Not necessarily something PS-specific.
