No, it wasn't. The "Move" thing Sony guys keep mentioning WASN'T EVEN A CONTROLLER.
No buttons.
No gyroscope.
No accelerometer.
No IR.
It was simply a colored empty shell that the EyeToy would track, THAT'S it. It was just COLOR-TRACKING.
Sony fanboys keep acting as if this was the Move when in-fact it was something completely different.
And let's be real here; it wouldn't...
Isn't Parappa's lvl 3 the one where he skates around ramming into people though? Correct me if I'm wrong but if it is that's an easily avoidable special, as opposed to SweetTooth.
You think this is bad? At least the Vita is ACTUALLY out. People are calling doom on the Wii U and the system isn't even out yet. The Vita has at least been out for 5 months lol.
But yea I agree, it's still to early to call doom. Plenty of systems have been in this same situation.
Nintendo lost 500-somethin MILLION, as opposed to Sony's 6.4 BILLION, along with an additional 2.8 billion they lost of the Playstation division recently and the 3 billion loss they reported back in 2008.
AND, like I said, they're forecasting another 6 BILLION loss.
You're silly to even MENTION Nintendo's loss as if it's the same situation. Not to mention, yea, Nintendo lost 500 mil but they had made twice that much the previous year, so t...
The GameCube launched at $200 and was stronger than the PS2. Just sayin.
Dude, how do you own yourself in your own post? You just posted evidence that destroyed yourself lol.
This is like, the 20th article based off the same quotes.
No.....it said 4-6.......
Those specs are, based off my understanding, about 5 times more powerful than the PS3/360. But those specs are also from the old dev kits from last E3, so we could be seeing a 6-7x leap.
"since the next generation will offer a smaller graphical leap than the prior one"
That's what I've been saying this whole time, agreed. Anyone expecting the same leap from PS2 -> PS3 with PS3 -> PS4 is going to be sorely disappointed.
1) Development costs would be extremely high for games. A lot of smaller devs wouldn't be able to afford it.
2) People in today's economy don't want $400+ consoles.
...
Seems legit. And some of those dudes on GAF I've actually been following and they leaked Wii U related things before they were even announced/leaked (like clickable sticks, instead of circle pads.)
I'd say it's pretty much real. There's nothing really unrealistic about any of that, pretty much the specs I was expecting.
Power 7 is the CPU the Wii U is using, not the GPU.
But yes the Power 7 series is far stronger than the CPU's used in the 360/PS3, so on the CPU side as well the Wii U is stronger.
It's 2012 and we're still getting articles like this?
The casuals will flock to these two things.
You guys mean Zelda running on the Unreal 3 engine??????
I'm still mad that after all this time we don't know shit about the Nintendo Network. Like really Nintendo, how did you got a WHOLE E3 without giving ANY details on the network for your NEW HOME CONSOLE? (outside of Miiverse, which was a pre-E3 announcement.)
They make quality games.
LOL xD
@MikeCosgrove
That's exactly my point, so will the Wii U. The Wii U will be more powerful than the 360 and PS3, and offer us new experience and core gaming as well. It's no different.
@bothebo
You have no idea what you're talking about lol. You do realize that the specs revealed in those leaked documents actually showed that Microsoft isn't making a huge leap with the 720? And Sony can talk all they want, don't you rememb...
Clock speeds =/= power people. When talking about the power of a system clock speeds are probably the least relevant thing there is. A CPU can be numerically slower but still stronger than another. Don't get me wrong, the higher the clock speed the better, but like I said, it's definitely a smaller factor compared to everything else.
The Wii U is using a Power 7 CPU. Even at 2.4 GHz, it'd be better than the
CPU in the 360.
