@Nodoze They are getting the infrastructure together. Right now you do have a record that can be used, the club nintendo account. They used that to make sure people who bought titles on wii get it at a super discount price in the wii U. Seems they are not far off from getting that to work.

What, you don't remember when nintendo added 4 different add on dodads to the gamecube splintering the systems game selection, then released the wii and it sold terribly compared to the gamecube then 2 years later released the wii U?

It's not really hacked, this thing just plays wii games in the wii mode. The wii u side is not comprimised.... almost makes me wanna add homebrew to the wii side... but why risk it?
I wish I could imagine Nintendo going out in a blaze of glory like that. However Sony is the one plodding that path right now. Nintendo is still pretty secure. They left room to do bad. Nintendo is still making profit, they are just below their profit goals.

with install time about 30-40 minutes is how long mine took till it was up and running. download alone took around 25 minutes. Said it was gonna take 45 minutes when downloading started, but apparently not.
Definitely much faster everything, still missing dvr in tvii, I was so hoping we'd have that in this update.Downloading in standby is a nice feature. Good to know in the future the update will be ready when I come home from work.
I wonder what would happen if you unplugged an ps3 mid update install. Oh, the same thing. Wonder about 360... same thing. Never unplug your system during an update install EVER! So you should apply this fear to all consoles. So maybe get a generator if you somehow live somewhere where brownouts are common.
