Spending plenty of time with this in my gaming time. Giving my Hearthstone time a run for its money. Love that the graphics aren't just another retro nostalgia trip but make a statement of their own.
Lots of nice details in this.
Easy to write this off as just another F2P base-builder but I think the polish, fan service, friendly monetisation, and gameplay elevate it above lots of other money grabs.
My main gripe would be the clunky controls moving dwellers too to room when defending against raiders.
Other than that this is a cherry on top of a solid conference from Bethesda
Well this E3 sure is shaping up to be one for the books. Electricity held with bare hands, cowboy boots and a cigar sticking from a wry smile. Loving it.
If someone would have said "FFVII remake" 24 hours ago I would have pictured more of a HD style remaster with an exact copy but upgraded with greater visual fidelity.
But this trailer leads us to believe that it's a total overhaul, redoing everything, even character modelling, toning down Clo...
So here's a copy and paste of my comment from the Microsoft article side of the coin:
I've never watched E3 and thought that the games being shown are an expectation as to what will be released in the next 12 months before the following E3. For me it's just about being shown what's on the horizon and we may get more news about those announcements at the following E3 or sometime after.
So I disagree with saying that the games announced and not...

So I disagree with saying that the games announced and not released within 12 months after are any sort of failure by anyone.
Interesting argument ...
My reason is definitely escapism. To get away from mundane reality after work and do fantastical things that I can't do in reality.
They haven't been quiet, they've been releasing heaps of games but the quality just isn't there anymore. They are really bad examples of F2P now, even classics like Jetpack Joyride has gone horribly F2P in an ugly way. Not to mention how broken it is now with all its bugs.
Glad they jumped ship. Maybe they can get back to making decent games again.
Yeah more power to them.
I've had the original XCOM on my PS3 for months but haven't given it a go yet. I really need to remedy that. (It's just so hard to go back from PS4 though)
It's scary to think many of us can't say for sure if there is stuff buried in the bowels of computers somewhere.
Watching...waiting...
Can't wait to see what these bring to the table after jumping ship from Halfbrick. Hoping to see some brand new IP of the calibre of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride.
Yeah that makes sense
Great article. Wonder if a system where I think the latest Unity version went free and after a certain amount of sales a royalty would be taken from the developer using the engine? Something like that.
I think that might be a fair system to use for mods, as the original game is the source for the mod (engine) and the mod is the game made using it.
As far as the multiple developers issue, I think a credit system similar to music song writing would take care of...
Yeah PS4 seems to be scooping the pool with a lot of indie exclusives. Do they have a more enticing set up for indies than Xbox? Or are the indies just following the bigger sales of PS4?
Although Below and Ori and the Blind Forest are Xbox only, so there still looks like some exclusives there.
Bummer, it looked like a promising title. Maybe it'll still see the light of day in the future.
Okay, you've convinced me, I'll check it out.
Good point. Kochie will have a field day.
Wow the possibilities with VR will be endless, I expect it will effect so many areas beyond gaming.
Is it wrong that I'm also apprehensive about many of us spending much of our time with masks on and not interacting with the real world much if it takes off?
Maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion.
Good to see them follow up their success so quickly while the iron is hot.
Out There completely nailed atmosphere with the whole package that it tied together with music, mystery, exploration and spaceship management.
You hear some complaining online about the random nature of deaths in this game and to me that is part of what makes the game. It's serene and beautiful and yet always has you on the knife's edge of death, which in a way keeps you in the moment and has you always paying attention to what is going on, due to every moment potent...
