Could you project any harder?
Is it really? You end up spending more by the end of a generation if you buy overpriced new releases consistently, renew internet paywall membership, get a new eventual "updated" model, replace controller x number of times due to shoddy analog design, etc. At least with PC you can make back the cost with how much you save on new releases through the right reseller, no paywall membership, upgrading doesn't require tossing the whole thing away, mice and keyboards are relatively in...
It's only complex if you're a complete idiot.
Considering how bad you are at grade school math, pretty sure it's the 90+ IQ prerequisite not personal choice.
@purple101 Usually for very cheap mice and much more rare in occurrence, a fix doesn't require taking apart and desoldering the whole thing, or throwing it away after only a few hundred hours of use. Controllers since the last generation don't have that luxury; they're all made with the same prone to failure joystick hardware, hence why it's been a growing topic involving class action lawsuits and numerous articles/videos on the problem.
I can imagine the lack of stick drift, not that you'd know what that's like.
@Flawlessmic
Dude, you're the one exaggerating to such an uneducated extreme, completely unprovoked. You clearly feel inferior to what others have that you do not either from a lack of trying, or understanding. The latter being the most likely as par for the course for quite a few on here.
Could have just said you have an inferiority complex and left it at that.
"The company I simp for free doesn't love me; only money. Boo hoo hoo, boo hoo hoo."
What you're feeling is called shame and embarrassment, fyi.
@Rowco147 I don't know one person that has ever bought a gpu for JUST one game and I've been at this for twenty years. The motivation of upgrading from one gpu to another exceeds just one singular use case, gpus aren't just meant for gaming and even then that hardware isn't as severely limited in software as a console in this situation is. You cannot compare the two.
Purchasing a piece of hardware you'll barely use after for one game? Hard pass. Games aren't few and far between on PC. We get more games in a day than you get in a year. Waiting for the definitive edition has never been a problem, just one more for the backlog.
Very easy to disingenuously play puritan when you by default lack the ability to have such options. You're severely naïve about human nature if you think the same wouldn't be the case, if not more frequent on consoles with their general appeal to the pubescent.
I've never understood apologizing to a minuscule segment of society that barely has any impact financially. The average person does not care that someone without any personality of their own isn't allowed to talk about their sexuality nobody asked about, in a tabletop simulator of all things.
@TheRealTedCruz
Even with Bethesda games the "mods" are severely limited across Xbox and Playstation. Sony won't allow external assets, deeming them a "security issue". Neither will allow script modification of the executable, which is what allows modders to utilize the most out of the software. Price of convenience is a steep and narrow one.
Consoles are meant to be closed platforms where the amount of fun you're provided is strictly only within the bounds of what a conglomerate decides you're allowed to have. Anything that takes away control from them, especially when there's alternatively money involved (i.e DLC) isn't going to happen. If you want mods, the latter is your only real option.
Enjoy paying too much for less games at a lower quality. Will wave to you from the future.
It's 343's best effort so far, which isn't really isn't saying much.
Ray tracing on consoles doesn't even come close to the quality that's on PC. As usual you get breadcrumbs and call it a feast.
My favorite thing about this game is despite all the peculiar 10/10 praise, barely anyone talks about it. It fell off the radar almost immediately after it's release. It got a $20 discount after only a month, can get it for less now even.
@Stanjara Your mistake is putting Digital Foundry on a pedestal. They may seem like tech gods to those with without any experience, but to anyone with any; quite hardly. They analyze and give their impressions of what they THINK is going on in a game, that's it. Their "expertise" stops there.
